POST Trip REPORT

In previous years, (which i was a frequent at least 2 x a year person) i LOVED WDW.. This year didnt seem as magical.. i will get to why later.

We traveled 9/18-9/24 with a party of 9

Day 1- Arrived @ Hotel, grabbed a princess dress princess:and went to Epcot for the princess lunch, which my daughter looked forward too more than ever. I had one extra person with me, and was UNABLE to get any reservations at all, so i took a stab at it, to see if we can get her in. Sure enough, no problem. We were sat within 15 min of arrival. - Norway lunch was decent. Not wonderful, but not awful. I was a little disappointed at the control of the crowd. Usually Disney is very good on keeping people in their seats at the character meals until at the table.. instead i had little girls from other tables distracting the princesses and my daughter-- while trying to get pics. I am very patient, but this was unbelieveable.
The boys went to lunch at Teppen Zeo. Which they said was not very good. Not a very good show compared to other hibatchi meals, and not a very good menu... im glad i was not on that end.
We traveled the rest of the night, around epcot. There were tons of people, but lots of rude ones also. Maybe it was the heat? :confused3
We had dinner reservations as 830 at Coral Reef. It was disappointing. Our 9 people, were squeezed at a table made for MAX of 8-- we had 5 at one table, which was the circle seats, and it was NOT good at all.. We were all elbow to elbow. The meal was okay, but the service was not that good. Our server took wayyy tooo long to give us anything. Our meal entirely took almost 2 hrs. Start to finish.

Day 2-
Day @ DS. It was unbelieveable crowded.. hot and sticky. No ones fault. We had lunch reservations at 245 for sci fi, the biggest problem was that our reservations when we checked in we were told maybe a 15-20 min wait.. and after 45 min, we just about walked out and demanded a manager. Finally 1 hr and 20 min later, we were seated. This was only after i made a stink with the people who worked there. When we got in the resturaunt, the funny thing is, there were a lobby full of unhappy people, and there were at least 12 empty cars!!! It was totally uncalled for! This was the same case last time we were there also. I really suggest being on top of them if you go there.... there were tons of unhappy people waiting there. 3 1/2 hrs just to eat lunch... its crazy!
The mad rush for Fantasmic :wizard: is unbelieveable... we were there the suggested 90 min prior.. but fact was, 2.5 hrs before, there was a line all the way down hollywood blvd! suddenly, the line started to move, but then we were all jammed in like cattle.. i am clausterphobic... and this was not a good way to move.. people were pushing, and shoving, and my little ones (3 of them) were all being pulled away, stompped on, etc. There needs to be a better system for DISNEY! HEAR MY CRY!!! We even left the end of fantasmic early, because the mad rush was already starting... for the exit.. not fair at all.

Day 3- MK-- we arrived early in the morning, after getting all dolled up as a princess at bippity boppity, and was EXTREEMLY dissapointed to see that there was a HUGE crane above the MK castle, blocking pictures.. It looks awful! I will see if i can post a pic on this post... i was so sad! :sad2:
Wispering Canyon Cafe at wilderness lodge for dinner, again, a nice place, and fun to be at-- the people seemed fine...no complaints! :woohoo:

Day 4- Ohana breakfast at 11am, i was diappointed at the way they made us feel like we were in the way, because it was actually closing time for the breakfast crew. They cleaned up around us, as they rushed the characters through us.. very unhappy with that!! :confused3 Why would they book if it was closing time...
Cape may cafe for dinner, at 8pm, very nice.. prob my new favorite buffet.. and i dont eat seafood!

Day 5- animal kingdom, ehh.. boring park in my opinion... its okay but not the fav... Chef mickey at 930 reservations.. again.. not crowded, but felt rushed out. It was closing time..

Day 6- relax day.. hoop dee doo for dinner, nice dinner, again. Great show as always.. i really laughed my butt off.. but the meal seems to have gotten smaller.. they only serve chicken, ribs potatos and salad anymore.. i remember corn on the cob, and another side.. as well. The shortcake is always stale.. i HATE IT!!! it tastes like it was left out for DAYS! :guilty:

day 7-- trex lunch, and leaving.. over all, it was an okay lunch. I likeed it, but like all the rest in downtown.. they are over priced

OVERALL.. i have to say, it seems like alot of the magic is gone in WDW. I dont know why, but it didnt seem as magical... the stress from making reservations, and alot of these places having openings @ dinner lunch or breakfast... was disappointing.. seems to be a problem with the reservation system...
I love wdw.. but it was not up to par this time... :sad2::confused:
