I think I'm certifiably WDW-addicted. I just can't seem to get enough! I've watched my "WDW Planning" DVD at least ten times, I cruise the DIS boards off and on all day long, and I'm halfway through the Birnbaum's Guide with no signs of stopping!

But what am I most excited about? The ATTRACTIONS, of course! So I was curious -- to all the WDW newbies (or vets who haven't been back in a REALLY long time), what are you looking forward to MOST during your WDW vacation?

Try to stick with your TOP THREE attractions in each park, including shows, parades, fireworks, etc ... These are my picks!

Magic Kingdom
- Space Mountain
- Pirates of the Carribbean
- Haunted Mansion

EPCOT Center
- Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
- World Showcase (all of it!)
- Illuminations

MGM Studios
- Tower of Terror
- Rock n' Roll Rollercoaster
- Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Animal Kingdom
- Kilmanjaro Safaris
- Kali River Rapids
- Dinosaur

Downtown Disney & Pleasure Island
- Cirque du Soleil
- DisneyQuest
- Adventurer's Club

I know there's SO much more to see, but those are definitely my top highlights! I haven't been back since '93 and while I was able to visit all of my top 3 MK attractions back then, all of the MGM attractions I listed were added to the parks after I was there, and Animal Kingdom was only in the planning stages. I never got to see Downtown Disney, and I couldn't quite appreciate the World Showcase, since I was only 13 and mostly looking for thrill rides to go on. But ten years later, I'm a million times more excited that I was then! I can't wait!

How about the rest of you? :D

Though we went just last June, I had my "not very brave" 7-year old daughter with me. Thus, we missed several attractions that we will not miss this year (she has certainly gotten braver this past year.)

So.....

MAGIC KINGDOM:
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain.

EPCOT:
Honey I Shrunk the Audience.
Test Track.

DISNEY STUDIOS:
Star Tours.
Tower of Terror (that is MY ultimate goal, but I don't think we'll make it this time).

ANIMAL KINGDOM:
Dinosaur.

I can't wait!!!

The only time I've been, it was 1980, I was nine years old, and the Magic Kingdom WAS Disney World! I remember really enjoying the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, but the rest is very fuzzy. SO...in two weeks, I will be taking my DH, DS9, and DS11mo, and I can't wait!

In order of my excitement:

MAGIC KINGDOM
Haunted Mansion
Spectromagic
It's a Small World (yeah, ok, I'm a doofus...that song chokes me up every time I hear it)

EPCOT
Illuminations
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
World Showcase FOOD

DISNEY STUDIOS
Tower of Terror
Muppet Vision 3-D
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

ANIMAL KINGDOM
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Festival of the Lion King
Kali River Rapids

Here's the thing I'm most excited about...I made PS's for Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's because I know the kids will enjoy it, but the butterflies-in-my-stomach feeling didn't hit until I made an impulse PS for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. I'm going to meet Alice!!!

DH, DS(3) and I are vets (I've been a regular since MK opened!), and we are taking 5 newbies this trip. They are DH's younger brothers and sisters: DS 22; DS20; DB17; DB15; and DB13. DH and I are most looking forward to seeing them enjoy Disney for the first time. As for them, they say that they are already overwhelmed. :) Right now, the top of the "things to do" list is:

MK: Spectromagic; Haunted Mansion; Space Mountain
Epcot: World Showcase; Journey into Imagination; Illuminations
MGM: Tower of Terror; Rock'n'Roller Coaster; Playhouse for DS(3)
AK: Kilimanjaro Safari; Dinosaur; Kali River Rapids
Blizzard Beach: "Ski Jump"; Lazy River; family raft
DTD: Adventurer's Club; Disney Quest; Ghiradellis

Can't wait!

DH and I have been to MK and Epcot, kids have never been...so, here goes:

2. Fireworks
3. seeing Cinderella's Castle! (this one's mine!)

I am excited about EVERYTHING Disney! :bounce: I made PS arrangements for the Crystal Palace for one of the days that we are at the Magic Kingdom. My mom is a picky eater, but I didn't figure that you can mess up breakfast too much ~ :p

I also made PS arrangements for us to have lunch at the Prime Time Cafe.

Like I read someone else has done, I have been reading all kinds of guidebooks (I really like that Birnbaums book, which I have read pretty much cover to cover).

I'm counting down and getting excited in doing so!

Newbie here! We aren't going until 8/04 and I'm on these boards almost every day. When I have a moment or I'm stressed out, I pull out my Disney guidebooks an read. And of course I have the WDW planning DVD which I love. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I have a countdown clock on my computer and the days aren't going by fast enough. Anyway, most top picks are as follows:

MK: Space Mountain, Pirates of the Carribbean, Spectro Magic.

Epcot: World Showcase, Mission Space, Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

AK: Kilimanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapids, It's Tough To Be A Bug.

MGM: Tower of Terror, Rock N Roll Rollercoaster.

Pleasure Island: Mannequins, Comedy Club, BET Soundstage.

We're looking forward to BB and TL as well. Also looking forward to Hoop Dee Doo Review, dinner at Ohana's, California Grill and Cape May Cafe; breakfast at Kona Cafe. Looking forward to everything!

Hi Shelleyz!

My suggestion would be to pick up the Birnbaum's "Official Guide" for WDW. You can get it at any Border's or Barnes and Noble store. I found mine in the Travel section, under "Florida Travel" at Border's. Skip the Unofficial Guide -- it's a bit too negatively slanted towards Disney, too long, and too devoid of colors/pictures -- or the Passporter is a good choice. I love the Birnbaum's though. Perfect length (250 pages), lots of color, and best of all: PICTURES! Yep, I'm really a kid at heart. ;)

Have fun on your FIRST VACATION! Tell us all about it when you return!

PS ... GREAT LISTS, everyone! Can't wait to read all the trip reports when you get back! :)

Been twice this year but still some attractions I have not been on or I viewed with anticipation before going on them:
