You might remember in the mid-90's, pro wrestling was absolutely massive for a couple of years. The two competing companies at the time both aired their shows on Monday nights and got massive ratings.
One of the shows, Monday Nitro, aired lived from Hollywood (MGM) Studios at least a couple of times.
The set-up was super weird, because they had the ring and stands just literally outside the entrance. They also clearly had very few fans able to attend. And then the fireworks from MGM's nightly show would just start randomly and drown out everything you'd normally hear on TV.
Anyone remember seeing this? Attend a show? Know how all of this came to be in the first place?
Thanks!
