WDW Marathon registration...

Am I correct that DVC members can register early for the WDW Marathon next January? Regular registration starts April 22, but I thought we as DVC members were supposed to get a week head start on registration. I don't see anything on the member website about the marathon yet, anyone have any info?

DVC Member early registration opened today.

Details on DVCMember.com under 'Membership Magic' (drop down) > 'Special Offers' > 'Savings and Early Registration on Select runDisney Events!'.

Quick (maybe obvious?) tip if you have to register more than one person.
After you register the first person, you will see a button "Register someone else" (or similar, cannot remember the exact wording), if you click it you'll go to a page saying that the event is full. That's because the regular registrations are not open yet.
You have to click again on the link in the DVC member website, it will bring you again to the same registration page; after you enter all the information you'll have both names in the basket and can pay for both at the same time (or add someone else in the same way).

Besides the ability to register early, is there any discount for DVC members. And do the perk(s) only apply to the marathon, or to all the events that weekend, at least on the half-marathon as well. DH ran marathons 25 years ago, but now that he's 60+, he limits himself to half marathons. Also, he did the F&W half-marathon a few years ago and that year, family members weren't allowed at the finish area (it was a "meet at --bench in WS). Is it different for the January events (I hope)?

DVC members do get $10 off registration for any event except the 5k and kids races, I think. My wife and I are going for our first runDisney races. She is doing her first half marathon and I'm doing the Goofy! I'm super excited!
