WDW locals and WDW TV watchers....

Last year when we went everytime we turned on our TV there was an infomercial on with a guy selling washers/dryer, etc... who cracked us up!
He was acting like we was hopped up on speed! He would put Tide and bleach in a bowl together, mix it, then rub it on his face!! Then he'd say that they neutralize each other and they wont clean your laundry so you had better buy one of his machines. His catch phrase was "ITS WACKY NU-NU!"
Is this still on? Anyone else ever see it, or did we enter the Twilight Zone?
It was so bizzare, but hilarious!

Are you talking about Appliance Direct? I hate those commercials. They are on constantly.

That might be it! It seemed to be on everytime we turned it on. It was an asian guy and a blonde woman. The guy seemed totally out of control. We thought it was an infomecial since it went on and on forever.
It's wacky nu-nu!! (Wacky Nu-Nu would flash on the screen in neon letters when he put the bleach on his face)

Are those things still on? It's a tradition to see it (along with Lambert the Sheepish Lion)

That's definitely Appliance Direct! I can see they would be entertaining if you didn't have to watch them all the time! They also do radio ads...

They are still on and I have seen them do 1/2 hour shows in addition to the commericals. They are always doing the ...If you didn't buy direct ...YOU PAID TOO MUCH!!! You should have no trouble finding them!

This was a HIGHLIGHT of the trip for my 2 teens 2 trips ago. We had connecting rooms and they raced over to tell us about it. It was the one thing DS16 looked for this past trip but never seemed to find it. LOL>


They have their hopes us for this May! Kids!

We bought a Whirlpool dryer from them last week. I almost cringed to go in the store because of their commercials.
But the price I paid was TERRIFIC and unbeatable.

We videotaped the Appliance DIRECT!! channel one year; a half hour of some of the most blatant pitchman banter on TV! We love it, makes us feel at home when we see him!
