WDW is not postponing......

100 years of Magic that is supposed to start October 1st???? I am STILL going on my vacation on October 27th, I heard rumors of a postponement of the new celebration?? Can someone please confirm this to be FALSE? Do you still think they will have the Halloween party with the fireworks and stuff?? Please say yes. please??

The celebration is not postponed and neither is the Halloween fireworks. The media press event, which was supposed to be staged the first week of October, has been postponed to sometime in early December. You should be OK for your trip. Enjoy and have a great time with your family.

I callled WDW info line yesterday.........this is what they told me........
The "press event" was postponed til Dec 5th, which is Walt's actual birthday. As the CM put it "it makes more sense to have the "big" press event on his birthday. Since everyone wondered why they were doing it in Oct anyway?!!"
But all the New things planned will still begin as of Oct 1st.......parades etc.
It will be more like Oct and Nov are "preview" months.
I was assured that we will not miss anything by going before Dec 5th.
