WDW in October 2009

My husband and I are thinking about going to WDW for my son's 4th b-day which is the first week of October, 2009. My question to you guys is, how are the crowds this time of year? We were there September, 2007 for our honeymoon and it wasnt crowded at all. This time of course we will be staying on property in one of the value resorts. We stayed off property for our honeymoon and realized it would be much nicer to stay on property. Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

We went in Oct. 07 and in no means whatsoever was it dead.
It wasn't bad and the weather was nice overall but no way was it dead. We were there the 13th to the 21st.

We are going the first week of October. Im hoping its not busy. I hate lots of crowds.

I think later in October it gets busier because of Mickey's "Not So Scarey Halloween" party but I've been told by two people that travel every year that early October is great weather and kids are back in school so the parks aren't as busy. We were planning on going in October, too, but I just can't wait that long so we moved it up to late April. Hopefully we'll miss the Spring breakers and the weater and crowds will cut us a break.
