i have my heart set on disneyland but my husband says we should give some thought to disneyworld too.
i'm just wondering what the weather is like in florida in nov/dec.

Since this question pertains to WDW and not DL, I'm going to move it over to the WDW Theme Parks Attractions and Stratigies thread.

I'm going to be at WDW starting the Monday after Thanksgiving for 10 nights, so i'm pretty interested, too.

We were in DW the first week of Dec. in 2004 and we had mostly warm weather and I had packed for cold weather, I brought big coats and gloves and we ended up wearing the few pairs of shorts that I brought. Just check www.weather.com before you leave, you can get the 10 day forecast, and you will have some idea on what to pack. I would bring a sweatshirt that would be easy to put on and take off b/c the mornings will be a little cooler than the afternoons. One day we were there it was so hot that we were sweating, my DD has naturally curly hair and it looked like Shirley Temple from the humidity!!! (And we live in Southern La. so we know all about high humidity!!)

Well FL weather can be very "fickle" especially this time of year. It's been known to be hot and sticky, it's been known to be warm with low humidity (the weather FL is known for this time of year) and sometimes especially in December it can be cold or even rainy.

It doesn't rain as much during this time of the year as it does in the summer or early fall months UNLESS there is a cold front coming through. During some of our past trips in December we have experienced all of the above in one trip alone.

From experience though we much prefer going to WDW between October and February because the weather is '"usually" comfortable. The mornings and evenings are usually cooler if it does warm up during the day. We've always loved the first week of Dec. as the weather cools and it really feels like the holidays without all the crowds. :goodvibes

We were at WDW the first week of December last year. My best advice is to pack for and dress in layers.

The mornings would find us wearing jeans and short-sleeved tee shirts with long-sleeved tee shirts over them, and lined windbreakers.

We felt fine (we had come from N.J. where the am temps were in the 30's at that point, so the 50's felt fine to us!). But some of the CMs were wearing heavy winter jackets, hats, and gloves! :cold:

By mid morning, we could either remove our windbreakers and just go with the double tee shirts, or keep the windbreakers and remove one of the tee-shirts. By the afternoon we were sometimes down to just the short-sleeves. :sunny:

We had three afternoons/evenings when it rained steadily; not the short, intense showers of summer but rather a steady, chilly rain. We were OK with our lined, hooded windbreakers and the double tees. :umbrella:

It never felt quite warm enough for shorts and we did not feel it was warm enough to swim; although the pools were heated and we did see many who were having a good time there.

Our night at the MVMCP we were at the MK late and our hands got cold so I had to buy gloves for everyone; so you may want to pack those as well.

Be prepared for just about anything!

Kathy
