hi all
we have changed our trip from september 04 to june 04
what are your experiences of wdw in june,is the weather o.k what are the crowds like, would like to hear from you all with your good and bad reviews(hopefully not too bad:D )are schools out at this time in florida and last of all is it best to avoid the parks on the 4th july
thanxs eve:D :D :D

A lot of schools in Florida are out for the Summer by the end of May.

It has been our experience that the last week of the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass is the week to stay away from WDW because of huge crowds. We were so happy when eveyone in the family was able to get Annual passes just because the crowds are smaller than during the other time.

I think that on Labor Day, the water parks are crowded with locals. However, after Labor Day, the parks are usually at their least crowded levels. We went during that week, before the kids were school age, and it was one of the nicest trips we ever had.

It is still rather hot here then, with the usual 3 p.m. rain showers.

Hope this info helps you out!:D

Hey again uktigger,
In case you aren't aware, Labor Day in the 1st Monday in September.

We have visited a number of times at the end of May and the 1st 7 to 10 days of June (our most recent visit was in late June this year). Many school systems in the United States (seems like especially in the north) are still in session until the middle of June, so the 1st week of June does not have near the crowds as the later part of June.

There is always a huge crowd in the MK on the 1st Saturday in June because of Gay Days . We always avoid MK on that day because it is so crowded.

The crowds in the resorts and parks got noticably larger when we stayed into the 2nd week of June and I think they grow more up through July. The number of visitors to WDW grows through June, but then WDW extends the hours of the parks as well, so the crowds at any given time (especially early morning and late evening) aren't much worse than in early June.

My kids are usually finished with school by the 3rd week of May, so we try to visit WDW as soon as they get out. I have seen larger crowds during spring break in March than during the 1st 7-10 days of June.

When do these passes expire?

Thanks!

We were just there June 1-14. We did Universal, Seal World, and both Disney water parks the first week and did WDW the second week.

The weather is hot hot hot! Humidity is very high. We had many days with afternoon showers (sometimes quite welcomed, others not like when we were at the water parks!). One of our teenagers in our group had terrible chaffing with the humidity and heat the very first day and he was miserable for quite a few days.

The crowds were moderate and managable. I like June because the crowds are not too terrible especially in the mornings. The water parks are great and enjoyable then, also.

I was worried about June the first time we went, but we had to change our months due to school. I was pleasantly surprised that the crowds were manageable and have enjoyed all our June trips since.

Just got back from BCV 6/22-26 and 6/27 HRH. WDW crowds were managable and this is the third time we have been in June around the same time. Use FP, go to E-night and take afternoon breaks and return to parks in evening. Lot's of pool time in the heat of the day. IOA/US was very busy with wait times of 80 minutes plus for stand-by, but if you stay at one of the 3 hotels you get front of line. It was amazing(worth everypenny of HRH)to ust walk right into every ride;no waiting for next FP window like at WDW. We really enjoy getting to WDW before the July 4th holiday and would do it again. Parks are open long hours and parades are running regularly.

We were there 6/14 - 6/21. It was pretty crowded, but manageable. We got up early to arrive right at opening, and used Fastpass alot. It was hot, and extremely rainy that week. The rain was not the usual 3pm thunderstorm, though. It was unusually rainy. If I could, I would go at least a week earlier next time, though.

We have gone to WDW during early June the last two years. In 2002 we were there the first week and this year we visited the second week. The crowds are very manageable--most rides have wait times of 30 minutes or less. MK was more crowded on the nights that SM and FITS were scheduled so we visited a different park on those days and then hopped over one night for SM and FITS. The weather is hot, humid with rain showers usually once a day. This year we were actually hoping for rain a couple of days just to get away from the frying Florida sun for a while:D With a little planning and FastPass-early June is a great time to visit.

wow so many replies:D well thank you all for your opinions a feel a little silly now being worried about that time of year:rolleyes:  i was mainly worried about the crowds and the rain(i've read this year has been bad for rain)but you have all managed to make me feel alot better about going at this time of year:D we will actually be there from the 29th june-13th july so we will have a whole 14 days to get around the parks
would it be best to avoid the parks on the 4th july,i thought we could go shopping or relax by the pool on this day or will the parks have something special on?once again i'd like to thank you all for reasuring me

eve:D :D

uktigger, when I saw June 04 in your OP, I thought you meant arriving on the 4th day of June.:o No need to worry about the early part of June now that I see your planned dates of stay.

The good news about your visit is that the parks should have extended hours during that time of the year. As already mentioned, we like to take breaks during mid-day when the crowds are at their peak by either eating at a sit-down restaurant or going back to our room for a swim and rest.

I don't know what else special WDW does on the 4th of July but I know they do some spectacular fireworks! I'll be there next year on the 4th!!

My family was at the WL from June 3rd to the 10th this year. In my opinion the weather was terrible. It rained every day and it wasn't the traditional half hour shower. It became unbearable after awhile and ruined this years trip. When I got home I read in Birnbaums WDW guide that June is the rainiest month of the year with an average of 7.3 inches compared to May which is 3.6 inches. You can believe I'll be steering clear of June for quite some time. Secondly, I was in the MK on Gay Day and it was packed but the rest to the week was average. So if you just stay out of the MK on that Saturday then don't sweat the first week in June.was

I was there during the same time as Abline, but I thought the weather was great! But, I'm accustomed to hot/humid weather. WDW is so huge, that it may be raining torrents in one park/area, and sunny and beautiful in another, so it can be luck of the draw. We were there 5/28 thru 6/8 and only got rained on 3 times, 2 times at the MK and once at our resort, and only briefly. The second time we got rained on at the MK we hopped to Epcot and completely avoided the rain! I did notice on the day we left the humidity had increased tremendously - it was a sauna and much hotter.
