Hi There im new here,

Post alot in Disneyland Sites, but have just impulsivly extended my trip this year to a week longer to goto WDW for the first time.

I'll be Arriveing from Melbourne, Australia on the 7th at 10:30pm, and going to LA on the 14th to meet up with Mum and my best friend for the rest of the trip.

Im a bit nervous about being on my own at WDW but know i'll get over it, my last US trip i was in Las Vegas and NYC on my own so i think this will be a happier and safer atmosphere and my love fo Disney Helps. :earsboy:

I'm Staying at The POP Century and spending the whole time at WDW.

Thought bout going to spend a day at IOA but havn't decided yet, should i ? or will i be buiser enough soaking up the Disney!

I Just made my 7 Dining Reservation's as part of my Dining Plan Im dining at the following-

The Plaza, doing Donalds Breakfstsaurus (love donald, im a big kid at 21), Sci-Fi and Dine, Teppenaki Dining Hall, Le Cellier, Concourse Steak House, and Mama Melrose. I gotta say dining on my own is what im worried about the most never have been to a resurant on my own any suggestions?? im sure ill get used to it fast! :earboy2:

So all you experenced WDW'ers just thought i'd let you all know, im soooo excited its so close and ill be going to DLR as well for a while when on the west coast, but WDW is all new to me and i can't wait!!! so any suggestion's reccomendations on everything plus doing it on my own would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks Dis'ers!!!!!!!! Here i go soon!! :moped:

I like the Pop. It is a cute hotel.

Love the lake and the food court.

I will be there with some friends Nov 5 thur 12 - staying offsite.

this is the food/wine festavial at Epcot - so be sure to see it.you have to be 21 to drink here. but the food is pretty good regardless.

Dining on your own is no problem at Disney but I do have one suggestion...one trick I used for my first solo trip was to bring a journal with me. In between the time I ordered my food and its arrival I wrote up my trip. After a while just looking around the restaurant was more than enough entertainment.

You gotta figure that dining on your own in WDW is easier than dining on your own in Las Vegas or NY (I've dined alone in LV but never in NYC).

^ Thats a great idea!! thanks Doubletrouble!, i want to keep a journal but figure end of the day ill be too tired this is perfect!!!

Does anyone think i should visit IOA or any non disney parks-areas>?? or should i stay with WDW?

I'll be there Nov. 5th-9th at the BWV, probably spending quite a bit of time over at EPCOT for the F&W Festival with a college friend and my parents. Come join us!

Thanks!!,

Be on the look out for a 21 yr old big guy on his own proberly with a green hat!!! I didn't realise the F&W was on when i booked so im thrilled about that!!!!

Will do! I usually have a lime green Mickey (the one from Home Depot) with my screen name on it attached to my backpack.

Definately hit the F&W - it's fabulous!

As to your question about Universal & IOA. Rather than planning on going over there I'd just keep a day or two free in your itinerary. You'll be there...7 days so yes you do have time to go check out Universal but at the same time do you want to be exhausted when you get to LA? Since you've got a bit of time why don't you try comparing Universal in LA to Universal Florida and see if it is worth your while to go over while in Florida or wait until you get to LA. I'm not sure the LA unit has something equivalent to IOA.

I'll be there Nov 13-16. I have a Home Depot mickey attached to my fanny pack and am usually wearing some version of mouse ears. I just noticed that the Osborne lights open on the 14th. I'm psyched.

Hi I will be from the 10-14 of November at the POP.. let me know if you want to meet..

If you're going to Universal in L.A. you don't need to go to Universal in Florida. However, IOA is different. There's no IOA in California and IOA has the amazing Spiderman ride. If you like to check out nice hotels, you can check out Portofino Bay Hotel which is the top Universal Hotel. Have fun--wish I were going again...DL is different from WDW Magic Kingdom in many ways, especially Fantasyland. DL has many more Fantasyland rides.

I'll be there from 11/12 - 11/16, offsite and at the Polynesian.

I would deffinetly take the time to check out IOA! Its a great park. You have the time, so go for it. You could get a 1 day pass to both, but it is a bit pricey especially if you are going to UVC. But do visit IOA, you will love it!!!
