Howdy fellow DISers :wave2: I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a ptr for our 2014 trip, :laundy: :coffee: free time and all that but after all the maybes, wishing, are we going to have additional suitcases we have a surprise addition to this trip not out the bag yet but all will be revealed......

Welcome to our July 2014 ptr. Let’s get straight to the important details – when, who, what, where. First up the trip party consists of; me, dh, ds (10), dd(7), dd (4), df, dm and dmil, what this space I can feel some changes afoot :cool1:

Our love for the world started in 1997 when we booked our first trip. Novices back then, don’t think we did any planning, nup definitely no ADRs made or touring plans done. The first Disney park we ever visited was MK. What a day that was, me, DH (then DBF), DSIL & DBIL they gave us the bug and it has never left us since. We visited every year until DS was born. In September 1998 we celebrated our engagement and decided our honeymoon in 2000 would have to be a Disney cruise. That was just fantastic so much so that we cruised again when DS was 2 and again on the Fantasy in October 2012. Have I bored you yet..... Possibly let’s move on and meet the party.

Some recent randoms from our last WDW trip October 2012, I will post more and some golden oldies in later post

So far we have told you who will be coming along for this, well that is except the chapter still to come, but what’s the details I here you say. The master plan has been devised and here is what it is looking like.

Arrive 2nd July, staying in Gulf Coast Clearwater Beach
Depart Gulf Coast 5th July, moving onto OKW Villa for 14 nights
Sad part leave for home 19th July

This trip we had already decided that we would like to stay on Disney to get the most out of the parks and benefit from EMHs, even get to try out MyMagic+. Some beach time to charge the batteries is planned at the very beginning. Having spent a wonderful 7 days at OKW last visit and 7 days at POR on our previous trip we figured this may be the last DS , dare I say it............will want to focus on just Disney, I guess next trip will have a request to spend more time at IOA. Our plans are coming together – flights booked, accommodation organised, next step is to start looking at our ADRs where did we want to eat?. Ohana maybe, 1900 Park Fare maybe, Boma maybe, Yak & Yeti maybe, Blue Zoo maybe, California Grill maybe, Be our Guest maybe, Crystal Palace maybe, Captains Grill maybe.

Coming from the UK it’s a must hiring a car, well we think so, it allows us flexibility to go to the malls and travel at little around the area. Whilst we do access Disney transportation often we like having the option for waterparks and the like to drive to :car:

Some memories of wonderful times spent at POR

It has been a while but there has been lots happening....................... I can officially say the WDW2014 reunion is in full swing :cheer2::cheer2: The party now has an additional 4 members, DSIL, DBIL, DN and DN. We also have 1 additional member joining the gulf coast section, DB.

And even better we get to spend two birthdays at WDW, DD turns 5 and DN turns 16 :dance3:

Our touring plans are moving along, feels like we have so many days to plan this visit, with a DCL section last trip felt like we only had a short time at WDW, 14 days to plan and ADRs to schedule in.

Our definite ADRs are Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Beaches N Cream (ice cream heaven), Crystal Palace, Be Our Guest, Sci Fi Diner and Rose & Crown. Then there is the off property locations, Millers Alehouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Sweet Tomato, Bubba Gump and the list goes onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

The title to this ptr comes from this being the first time since 2008 we have all been together at WDW. The children are all mega excited. Look how young they were back then

We have a first draft to our touring plans :thumbsup2 We had had a few get
togethers, we call them "meetings" to plan and organise our trips. The standing joke is we never get beyond the international terminal @ Gatwick airport :rotfl2: We made it to the last day and drafted our plans out woop woop its coming along nicely. There is even some shopping sections too, now that's a must for us taking time out and going to the malls, nothing better than a bargain in Florida :)
