WDW Firsts!

This is my FIRST post and I'm going on my FIRST trip to WDW! Hard to believe that I'm 41 and never been. My DW, DS10 and DD6 (notice the appropriate use of letters) are going 1/6 - 1/13. I debated on whether or not to stay on site or not but we ended up getting a nice condo in a resort. I've been lurking for a while and have to say that this board is GREAT! I've already experienced a little magic just in the planning of my trip. I really wanted my daughter to have breakfast with Cinderella in the castle. Little did I know that you had to have cat-like reflexes with a phone and an atomic clock to get a reservation. I was WAY past the recommended call date for a reservation but I thought I'd give it a go any how. I called the reservation number after work one evening and told the CM that I knew it was a long shot but I needed a Cinderella breakfast reservation. He told me to hold and then...<INSERT PIXIE DUST HERE>...said that they'd just had a cancellation! WOO HOO! The princess outfit just arrived today. I don't know who's more excited - me or my kids.

Try to get in to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique before the dinner.

They will make your daughter look like a real princess I hear.

Thanks for the boutique tip. Of course my daughter tried on the princess dress and said "it's itchy!" Looks like we need to find something to go underneath. I'll be sure to post a trip report when we return.

Thanks for the kind words. I've got the best kids in the world and would do anything for them. When I was growing up we never went anywhere except to grandparents houses. I swore that I would take my kids as many places as possible. So far I'm doing pretty good but it makes it even better when the kids give me a big hug and say thanks!
