My DD (9 yrs old) does Pop Warner Cheerleading. Usually 1 or 2 teams from our town make it to Nationals. That is always held at WWS the first week in Dec. What's it like at WDW at that time? How is the weather? Part of me is hoping that her team will get to go just because I want to go back to WDW so bad!;) Another part of me is frightened her team will go and it's so close to Christmas! (I work full time, so it takes me time to get ready for the holidays.):o
If we go, we have to stay with the team at ASR. I've never stayed at any of them. What are they like? Any comments - good or bad? TIA!

We have been the last 2 years to wdw during the 1st week of dec. The weather is very unpredictable! One day sleeveless shirts/shorts and the next day sweat shirts and jeans! Really need to pack for anything! There are great activities at this time. MVMCP & Osborne lights, candlelight processional. The christmas decorations are up and beauitful. We were not there for any cheerleading activities and frankly didn't notice any. I'm sure the allstars are nice, and if your with the big group, you should feel right at home! Go & you will be in the christmas spirit for the entire month!

We went the first week in December, Nov. 30th - Dec. 6 our last trip to WDW in 2000. Stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and loved it, was perfect for that time of year! I agree with mkymouse, weather can change from shorts and swimming to jeans and jackets as it did when we were there. The first 3 days the four of us swam in the pool it was so nice, but the rest of the week it really cooled down and we needed long pants and jackets at night. WDW is so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations up and none of the parks were crowded, it's a great time to go I think. I have never stayed at ASR but all onsite resorts are nice, you can't go wrong. I say go and enjoy, you will love getting in the Christmas spirit at WDW...nothing like it!!
