WDW final balance query?

We are due to pay our final balance in July for our trip in September.

Not sure if anyone can answer this please, but if we pay the balance and then aren't able to travel due to covid restrictions, will WDW transfer our payment onto a trip next year?

I know that they are happy to transfer the deposit over but just not sure what they will offer once we have paid in full? Thanks

PS, I am still dreaming and praying that we can still visit come September!

I had resort plus park tickets for last year and I had to cancel when the airline killed it. I'd already booked an alternative for this year (with a new £50 deposit), so Disney gave me a full refund including the original £50.
No problem at all - so easy.

May be different if it's a package including flights as I have heard that they effectively pass that money to the carrier and you'd be wrangling them (the airline) for that portion.

will defo call WDW thanks. I made a mistake when checking the T&C for TUI flights and thought I could amend the booking if needed. Turns out I can’t and will lose almost £4K if we cancel. If the UK and USA allow travel then we will be there!
