WDW Fantasyland Expansion + Google Earth + Blueprint Overlay = WOW!

Thought I'd share with fellow DIS'ers. I am long time reader, podcast, listener, and DVC member. This will serve as first post to the boards.

I noticed the recent imagery update over WDW (May 2, 2010) and found those expansion blueprints online. I decided to create image overlay in Google Earth b/c I was so curious. The results turned out pretty well.

Nicely done, for us "visual learners" it helps a lot to picture how it's going to be. I guess the only thing is that we'll have to walk all the way through the park to get to now. That and no more pictures of and the castle together anymore

NOOOOOoooooo!!!! Pooh's playground has been bulldozed!
It looks like they're putting in a new support building off the main chunnel entrance. That or it is just going to be a gravel pit/construction staging area.
Also, they're doing something across the moat from Toon Town. I can't imagine why they would do that unless they plan to put a bridge over it and plan to have a new access point near the TT train station.

The Castles pretty tall it may still work. I have high hopes too that they get the carnival aspects over by the new Dumbo and out of the rest of Fantasyland.

This reminds me a lot of DL. The E ticket at the very back of the park is Roger Rabbit in Toon Town. I'm sure more people will be going to the little Mermain than Dumbo. Good thing is LM will have the best ride capacity in FL besides SW.

Of course, keep in mind that the blueprints are not completely correct. Dumbo and Pixie Hollow are basically swapped in the approved revision.

I think the funny thing about the blueprint overlay is that it has the ride paths for everything except the Little Mermaid.

Still it provides a good look at the expansion.
