Might be 'hopping' to DHS for Fantasmic, where would I expect to be seated if I was at the end of the line?

Is there a strategy to sit toward the right side (facing lagoon)

So in May we hopped from Epcot to Fantasmic and came in maybe 10 minutes before the show. We sat in the second row behind the short benches that are in front of the regular stands. We were in the second section from the end section which was mostly empty. The section we sat in was mostly full but the first full row was empty. That being said we were on the same level as the little bench in front of us and those people slightly blocked our view but not enough to matter

Fantasmic often fills so you will not want to wait too close to the showing to arrive. I would arrive at least 20 mins before the show but even that will be too late some evenings. We try to arrive a minimum of 30 mins before Fantasmic begins.

There was one time, years ago, we arrived just before to SRO. Was rough standing throughout. I don’t know if they still do this or not. I’d go with what @scrappinginontario said and arrive at least 30 minutes early.

Yeah, if you're last, you could end up in the standing room only section which is behind all of the seating sections. We did that once. I don't recommend it.
