Hi everyone! We usually visit WDW in the spring, but this year we are going in October to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. I'm looking for as many tips about weather, Food & Wine and whatever else you can think of as I can get! I guess I am just nervous since I feel like a novice for the first time in a long time and I want to make sure I am prepared for everything and anything that I might not usually think of in the spring. TIA!!

The weather can be a little unpredictable in the fall. It's most likely still going to be warm and there might be a few less showers. It is still hurricane season so there is that.

F&W is great, I go every year. I don't recommend you get ADRs for the day you are doing F&W if you are only going to do it one day. I have an AP so I go to Epcot for a little while every single day of my trip to sample from the booths and all my meals except breakfast and the one food and wine pairing meal I get in advance, come from the booths. There is a sticky thread over in the restaurants board that you might want to look through.

Make a spreadsheet for Food and Wine, what you want to try and what you don't. It will narrow things down so you're not overwhelmed with everything! Weather is still warm, but comfortable. You'll get to see Halloween/Fall decor, which I love!

I think the weather is what makes me the most nervous....especially after Irma. Is it still warm enough for tanks and shorts in October?

If your goal is to sample many of the F&W kiosks, go during the day on weekdays. Nights & weekends are very busy and let's face it, the more you're standing in line the less you're eating and drinking. ;)

We're going for 9 days and definitely plan to steer clear of Epcot on the weekends!

Another question, I have three kids (ages 12,10,7) are there things for them to do during F&W like there is during F&G?
