I am planning a trip to WDW in Jan. with DH and 2 DS's (ages 4 and 13 months at time of trip). Which of the moderate resorts is the best? Any suggestions would be appreciated. We just can't decide.

I have stayed at both CSR and POFQ. For the little ones I think POFQ is a great choice! The pool is slightly geared towards the younger kids and its a small resort, also a plus with little ones. So POFQ gets my vote:thumbsup2

Port Orleans FQ is the smallest resort with the least amount of walking to the food court/bus stop/rooms and while it shares a bus with its sister resort -Port Orleans Riverside - the POFQ guests are the first ones picked up to the parks and the first ones dropped off from the parks. It has a great atmosphere and nicely done in a Mardi Gras/New Orleans decor. I love it there.

We've stayed at the CBR twice and really enjoyed both stays. The rooms at the CBR are larger than the other moderates not by much but every little bit helps.

There theming of the resort is awesome. Each village has their own white sandy beach and quiet pool. The island in the middle of the lake provides a nice little spot to have a picnic.

There's nothing like hearing tropical music while you sit in a beach chair or lie in a hammock. You can even see the Epcot fireworks from some spots around the resort.

Your kids should enjoy seeing the bunnies, birds and lizards that skirt around the resort.

The bus service was great both times we were there and the CBR doesn't share with any other resorts.

The food court had a nice selection of foods to choose from at all three mealtimes.

We loved shopping in the store. Lots of pirate and beach themed items as well as the traditional Disney merchandise.

Hope this helps in your decision making process, Lisa

CBR is a beautiful resort and the entire family will love it there. Be aware that the main pool closes in Jan. until Sept. They are installing slides in several of the quiet pools.

Just keep checking the CBR FAQ thread for updates on the pool.

My favorite is Port Orleans Riverside. It's big, but the pool is much larger that POFQ and the amenties are overall a tad better. Food court is ginormous, the grounds are beautiful - it has the most "deluxe feel" over any of the other moderates.
