went to the Dr,some kind of infection. He gave me an inhaler and an antibiotic. Which of course I can't fill because the insurance will only cover 1/2 of. So tomorrow the pharmacy will call and see if they can change the script.

Which inhaler did they give you... if we get just the albuterol it's $5.00...the last one was provoair (DS has it with him or I'd give you the exact name)..and it was $30.00.. I was pissy when I picked it up because the DR told me she was order his normal one... so when I went back in to discuss it she was very apologetic...

not sure of the inhaler since I don't have it yet, probably albuteral or asmanex. That one wasn't the problem, it was the Zithromax. He gave a script for 5 500mg pills but the insurance will only pay for 3, the other 2 are $33 a piece. So I told CVS to call my Dr and have him change to the Zpac but the Dr office is already closed for the day.

what color ink should I use for the house stamps on white paper. I was going to use red and green stickle to act as the lights. But I think black in will be to dark.

Don't rush deliver. Just send priority and that will be fine. I'm swamped all weekend anyway so I won't be able to swap out anyway. Also, not everyone has mailed yet so don't worry about it.

Sorry about the script. I hate it when they do that!

me too. Why do they do that? it's not like it's some kind of controlled substance. If the DR wants me to take 5 then I would think I need 5 so I'm not back 2 weeks later for more. 66 dollars for 2 pills or 160 for a second Dr visit and then more pills. So much for preventative medicine.



I solemnly swear these will leave my house tomorrow!!!! Or Nancy will come home with DH and kick my behind!

Do you know that as of December 31, 2008 regular generic albuterol will be gone forever? After that date, the only ones that will be available will be the HFA inhalers (Proair HFA, Proventil HFA, or Ventolin HFA). All are brand names and all are big bucks. Just a heads up that the days of the $5 copays are numbered! (And it may possibly be earlier than 12/31 as the supply is very limited.)

It's because a law was passed years ago banning all aerosols with CFCs due to the environmental concerns - inhalers were grandfathered in to have a few extra years to comply with the law but 2008 is the end of the line. As if the hole in the ozone is due to asthmatics. Sheesh.

I discovered this earlier this year when I got a refill on what used to be my $5 albuterol inhaler. It now costs $35 for my inhaler which is sucky since I HAVE to have it.

That explains it! I knew I should have called you earlier... I need to tell my friend here at home that because she is constantly refilling her sons and she'll have to rebudget (single mom).. Proair HFA is the oneCDS12 has..it cost me $30.00... I think I would have been less upset if they would have just said.. well, due to a recent law.. blah, blah, blah.. I could have been more knowledgeable and accepting.... Thank you so much for making me(us) aware...

Update:

Sickness has struck in a few places so some of our swappers are mailing a few days late. I apologize for making some of y'all wait to get the stuff back but I've been on the other end of the stick before and someone cut me a break.

The last package should be mailed on Monday. I'm still planning to swap out next weekend.
