Hi all,

At the recommendation of my good friend Susie, the 'Disney Guru', she had me sign up here. So, hi again!

This is all new to me, but we were looking to go to WDW for the first time with our girls (7, 4). I was hoping to rent someones DVC points. Would this be the correct 'section' of this message board to post this request? And how likely do you all think I would be able to get something?

We are looking for Studio, and if lucky, something close to MK. I guess thats Bay Lake Towers or Wilderness Lodge? Boardwalk or Beach Club sound interesting too. Although those might be difficult to get. Or really, I suppose we are open to all suggestions.

We would be A+ renters of course. We are just people that do the right thing. :)

Anyhow, thank you for your time.

Welcome to the DIS!

You should post your rental request on the DVC Rent/Trade Board in any of the threads where a DVC member is offering to "rent points" - which is just a phrase meaning "make a reservation for someone using their DVC points".

Another option would be to go through a rental broker like www.DVCrequest.com - one of the DIS advertisers.

Renting from a DVC owner (both options mentioned will accomplish that) can certainly save some money, but also comes with some restrictions as compared to making a reservation for the same accommodations thru Disney directly, so be sure to recognize that fact.

Be sure to read the **How to use this Board** thread near the top of the Rent/Trade as there are some helpful suggestions there about the process and what to expect and look for in a DVC rental.

Good luck! :)

omg, How did I keep missing the rent/trade board! *slaps forehead*

Thanks so much. I will head over there now ...

EDIT: Ahhhh. I see. You have to be logged-in to see the rent/trade board. Mods can delete this thread if they want to, I'm over in rent/trade land now! :)
