I heard yesterday that WDW offers discounts to teachers at certain times during the year, is this true? I think I read it was only at the Swan and Dolphin. how much and when?

I also heard that AAA members can get discounts at WDW? how much?

Lastly, if you get a bounceback offer, does it only apply to the resort you are staying in or can you use it at any resort?

I am having my wedding in WDW next LDW. We get discounted wedding rates but its only a room only discount similar to public discounts (30% deluxe, 20% mod 10% value). They cannot add the dining plan and there is only a discount on multi-day park hoppers ( I havent gotten that discount yet but its like $10 per ticket or something small).

I want to try to make as many discounts available to my guests as possible, and a lot are teachers and some may have AAA. All your help is appreciated :)

It is possible that Free dining or room only discounts will be available during that time. The only bad part is that they won't be released until maybe May at the earliest. I'm not sure on the AAA or the Teacher discounts.

The only resorts that have Teacher discounts are the Swan & Dolphin (neither are owned by Disney. Swan is a Westin-branded hotel; Dolphin is Sheraton-branded.

Disney is very good at making it nearly impossible to "stack" discounts so you will have to price using every available discount, then choose one.

The only Bounceback available when we were there earlier this month was the Free Dining for a very time period: 8/20-9/29/2014. I'm hoping there's a new, better offer when we return in early November.

Since you are looking for rates for a group, I would suggest contacting a TA. (Dreams Unlimited would be a good place to start! ;)) There are very likely discounts out there that you nor I would ever find on our own!

Good luck with your planning and congratulations on your wedding! :goodvibes We were at WDW this past LDW and it's a great time to visit! :thumbsup2

I'd go with the resort rates you're getting for the wedding and get them locked down, particularly if you're staying at a deluxe. AAA rates are lower (10-15%) off the rooms, and FD isn't released until later in the new year.

All discounts have limited rooms. If you wait, there's no guarantee you'd get all the rooms you need with ether discount. I'd go with the room/tix discount and accept people can't add the DP... Since it isn't a food deal for everyone it's just easier to say 'hey, here are your room and ticket costs, and you'll be responsible for food or extras.'
