We did a ten day trip to Walt Disney World last month with 9 days in the parks. We are a family of five with 2 adults and 3 'kids' aged 12, 10, and 8. We are CANADIAN which means we pay a hefty conversion rate for everything, haha. We stayed Club Level at Board Walk for the first half of the trip and ate a lot of food there and then had a cabin at the Fort with groceries, so we didn't eat out THAT much.
SIT-DOWN:
Teppan Edo. Fantastic food. Great service. Allowed our 12 and 10 year old to order off the kids menu which we GREATLY appreciated since they cant eat that much. 100% will eat here again.
50's Prime Time: Usually I enjoy this restaurant, but because we did the FANTASMIC! Dining package, we found the price we paid for our 12 and 10 year old was no where near worth it for their appetites. They just cant eat $56 USD worth of food to make it worth it. This is 100% my own fault and no one elses.
Biergarten: Again, expensive when your 12 and 10 year old are paying adult prices BUT our kids did eat a lot here and the entertainment was great. Highlights were the salmon, german pretzel buns, chocolate cake, and their special 'fanta coke' drink. Would go again because the food was unlimited and they literally told us 'Please dont rush! Stay as LONG as you like." Staff were great!!!
Mama Melrose: I knew the reviews were pretty mediocre but we desperately needed an Air Conditioned meal and this spot had an opening. It was pretty awful. I've never seen 'pizza' that looked like that and my Caesar salad was soggy with a dried piece of chicken thrown on top. When we asked the waitress if the kids could all order off the kids menu despite their ages she said, "I could care less what you do." As thankful as I was for that... I was pretty shocked to hear that line by a Disney Cast Member, haha. Avoid!
CANCELLED: We had reservations for both Whispering Canyon Cafe AND Liberty Tree Tavern. I've eaten at both and enjoyed them, but we found we didnt need 'that' much food because it was SO hot out that we lost our appetites. It was close to 100 degrees for the length of our trip.
QUICK SERVICE:
Trails End: Mobile ordered the ribs, mashed potatoes and macaroni once night and it was great! We also got pizza here and enjoyed it.
Board Walk Pizza: Solid quick option - we enjoyed it!
Harambe Market: This was a really pleasant surprise as we'd never dined there. We loved the rice bowls! They filled us up and were really decently priced for what we got. Frozen Flamingo drink was delicious too!
Sleepy Hollow: Fresh Fruit Waffles and Sweet n Spicy Chicken Waffle were both a huge hit with our family. The kids still talk about the time we let them eat nutella for lunch a month later
Last food note: We found the refillable popcorn buckets to be more than worth it for us! The kids each got one and refilled it once a day for the length of the trip so we more than got their money worth.
