Ok, I admit it, I'm nervous about gaining a ton of weight from my upcoming trip!!

I am a very weight conscious person, but I know I will want to splurge on a few things while I'm there-Smores from 50's Prime Time, share a sundae with my DBF at Beaches & Cream, pizza somewhere...

We have ADR's for dinner almost everyday. I don't plan to get out of control and actually prefer healthier food choices for most meals, but I am looking forward to enjoying a few treats.

I wondered if anyone has ever "broke even" from their trip, given all the walking you do during the day.
Don't want my pants to not fit halfway through my trip

Thoughts?

my daughter was on ww one year and she actually lost a few pounds with the walking we did........there is alot of work that goes into PLAYING ........dont worry about that and have a good time and enjoy your snacks......I am a diabetic and I didnt gain any weight when we went in April or in September...and I sure enjoyed myself...

I've never gained a pound at WDW. Even with the dining plan the last two times!!!! I made healthy choices at lunch, ordered whatever I felt like at dinner and did just fine. I'm not a big sweet eater, which helped, but the walking works for me.:thumbsup2

I eat low carbs and last August had no problem finding yummy meals. I lost weight by the time I got home.

I eat low carbs as well. Doing great, except for a dip during the holidays lol.
I'm trying to be very good before I leave (27 days to go!).

I mainly plan to eat low carb during my stay-I've gotten used to these food choices and I actually enjoy them. I"ve peeked through all the menus at the places we are going to and for the most part I think I'll be ok with good choices.

I'm just worried about the splurges I'm pre-planning. I dont want to pass up the Beaches & Cream sundae or the other splurges-good thing is I plan to split these splurges with my DBF so that should help.

I just hear on these boards all the time about people gaining so much weight when they return from their WDW vacation....and how can you not-those food pics look sooo good!!

Well I think it depends on on. I haven't had sugar, caffine, or any other cheats since I started way back in June. But I plan ahead so that I will be able to eat while the family has treats. When I made our ADRs I mentioned my diet and was told the chef would come out at every meal and discuss my options. I printed out all the menus and have decided on a few choices at each location. I will take with my flax seed muffins, sugar/flour free pumpkin pie, flax seed cookies, and other yummies that I can snack on while they have their desserts. I did this in August and never felt like I was missing out on anything. But I also make my own food on holidays so that I reamain cheat free. Depends on your will power and planning.
