After checking my 14 y/o DD's school schedule I've found that March 13-21 is the only time we could take a vacation without her missing days.

Of course this is Spring Break time for EVERYBODY. How crowded do the parks get during that time? And would it be a family crowd or would it be college kids?

Thanks!

We went on March Spring Break once and will never go back again. It wasn't the college kids that were unruly - but the middle and high school kids (especially girls) who were screaming at the top of their lungs on rides that one would not usually scream on. They scared my young child to death! There were many softball/cheerleading/band groups there and it was very crowded. We will never go on spring break again.

It really depends because most schools have different Spring Breaks. I know ours isn't until April 2nd this year. So, I think it's mostly bad only one or two weeks for Spring Break. I think your going early enough that it wouldn't be that bad. It's pretty bad when we go around the 1st of April but nothing to get upset over. We always have a good time and know how to manage our time.

We've gone the beginning of March, and we didn't notice many springbreaker's there at all....I think it starts getting worse toward the middle to end of March and through parts of April.

I went for my spring break in 2002 and didn't find too many other college kids, but the parks were packed.

We were here during the college spring break and it was fairly crowded then. Remember that the local kids in Florida have spring breaks that coincides with the college spring breaks, since they return to school in early August, instead of last August or early September, so that feeds into it.

The hours are usually somewhat extended, but not to the extent of summer. MGM, and MK were open until 8 pm, and Epcot had its normal hours. Because daylight savings time hadn't kicked in, AK closed at 5 pm. Hours at MK were extended if crowds warrented it.

Usually the college aged kids are very well behaved, so if you are basing your decision on them, and not the crowds, then you should go. If you are only basing it on the crowds, you should still go, but plan out everything, so you will get the most bang for your buck, so to speak. Use Early entry, use fastpasses, if you aren't using EE, then go to the parks that had it the day before, and arrive at the gates 30 minutes prior to opening. Plan your meals at off times or after the parks close so you aren't eating at prime touring times, and don't have to spend time waiting for your seating. Make those Priority seating, as some restaurants don't accept walk ups!~

Hope to see you during your Spring Break!
