WDW/DCL Western Caribbean Honeymoon Extravaganza!! DONE!!! - PG 51!!

I love the pictures, and the hidden Mickey in your bouquet is so cute! You are so creative and talented! And hi, Tom! I wish I could get my DH to contribute to my TR (which I'm working on right now)...

The wedding was gorgeous, Nikki. If you ever decide to leave teaching, you should be a wedding planner.

As for the obsessive, controlling thing -- that's me completely!!! And yet my DH, who is a teacher, is SO not that way. Interesting!

I am sitting at my desk quietly with my hands folded. More trip report please!!!!!
your pictures are awesome!!!!

Your pictures are fantastic! I love all your little Disney touches.

How did the photographer end up at the wrong cocktail hour?! Oops!

That's funny. Ya know, I have to say I was REALLY good at planning my wedding, especially because I considered it my full time job for the month between when school got out and the wedding. BUT, I wouldn't want to do it again...unless maybe I got paid to do it...

Okay, okay!! A little more wedding and the onto WDW!! Only because I STILL haven't uploaded my vaca pics yet.

Your pictures are fantastic! I love all your little Disney touches.

Thank you!!

How did the photographer end up at the wrong cocktail hour?! Oops!

How could she be in the wrong cocktail hour? Stupid woman!

Well, it was little confusing. See, the hall had three floors, 2 banquet halls and 2 cocktail hour rooms. There is a banquet hall on the top floor and one on the main floor. There is a cocktail hour room on the main floor and one in the basement. The TOP floor hall room goes with the main floor cocktail room and the MAIN floor banquet hall goes with the basement cocktail room. I can't really blame her TOO much for that one.

I love this picture of my best friends from college and me. It's so rare that we get all 5 of us together and between my wedding and another girl's 6 weeks ago, we've seen each other so much for showers and bachelorette parties, etc. It's been really nice!! ALSO, one of them was my BM and you can sort of see her hair has an unintentional Hidden Mickey in it!!

Okay, here's a picture of me going into the church. I actually RAN out of the limo because I had to pee!! But the photographer made me stop for a pic. I ran into the church, saw everyone waiting and would NOT go any further until I found a bathroom. Normally, I probably could have waited but you know how when you're nervous, it seems worse than usual? So one of my bridesmaids and I ran down the stairs and all through the basement until we found a bathroom. That was funny.

Back to the reception. What am I looking at in this picture, you might wonder?

The organza overlay must have pulled at some point and I kept on tripping over it. Thank GOD for BFF Beth to the rescue. "You have to fix my dress." "What should I do?" "COURTESY BASKET! BATHROOM! NOW!" "I'm on it!"

She was so sweet, she tried to be all gentle and not have the pins show. At that point, the bottom was filthy and I could care less. "Just pin it, I don't care!!"

What a surprise!! Emma won the snowglobe at her table!!! No, it wasn't fixed AT ALL! ;)

Okay, so I have this thing. It's really a sicknes but my favorite song ever is "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" by Meatloaf. And for some reason, I sing it at pretty much every wedding I go to. I must have done it 5 or 6 times. It started at my cousin Kim's wedding, had to be 8 years ago now. It was just the way the DJ set it up. Guys on one side, girls on the other. He was sticking the microphone in our faces so at one point, I just grabbed it and took over when the girl part came in. Then the GROOM, of all people, sang the guy part. It was very funny. Since then I've done it with DJs or even by myself. Tom said if I REALLY wanted him to do it with me he would but he actually can't stand that song so I didn't push it. LUCKILY, my original singing partner (the groom from the first wedding I did it at) was there and more than happy to join in with me!!

I LOVE all of your pics! Too funny about the Meatloaf song, you seem like such a fun person! Well obviously you are...!

Okay, I just got back from 2 hours at CVS, going through all my pics and editing them for printing. The guy working the photo counter was like, "How many albums do you have for all these pics?" "Oh I don't know yet, but I do have an album dedicated to JUST food." He didn't get it. I told him I could pick them up tomorrow to give them some time but he said they'll be ready tonight! Wooohooo!!

So now that that's done, I'm starting to upload the pics from the cds that I made the other day onto my shutterfly account and then the REAL TR can begin!!

Great TR so far! The wedding pictures are fantastic.

I followed you over here from the BB thread - I saw the link in your sig!

Thanks for reading!! That's funny about our names!! My name is actually NOT Nicole, though, it really is just Nikki. People call me Nicole all the time. I can't believe my mother did that when she named me, it's so unlike her. But there was already a Nicole in the family and she wanted to name me after her father, Nicholas, who passed away while she was pregnant with me.

Day 1 ~ Arrival Day
July 19, 2009

I set the alarm for 4:00am. I arranged for a car to pick us up at 4:45. Becausese I had been so obsessed with making sure everything was ready to go, there was really nothing for me to do, so we slept in a few extra minutes.

We also needed to make sure we gave our cat some extra good pets. He's like our baby and we were really worried about leaving him for 2 weeks. Luckily my BFF Beth, aka the dress pinner, came by every day to feed him and hang out for a while. But with all the running around and packing the weeks, and especially, days before the wedding, he knew something was up. :( I don't have a picture of him on this computer but I will definitely post one of him because he's sooo handsome!

Anyway, the car came on time and we were at the aiport just a little after 5:00. Our flight was at 6:30 so we were kind of early (as always) but I'm just afraid that the ONE time I schedule the car to come later, they'll be some sort of accident on the highway and we'll miss our flight.

Bag drop and security went very quickly. We stopped at Juan Valdez for coffee (my eyes were stinging from getting up so early, coffee always helps!) and a very stale corn muffin.

Like my shirt?! Remember, it's the one from my PTR that I had made on Disney Shopping. Hmm, I look tired in this picture...

On top of the two suitcases we checked, I packed an extra large duffle bag to use as a carry on. It was mostly packed with cruise clothes and poor Tom had to carry it around the airport. It was quite heavy! It did NOT fit in the "carry-on must fit this size" box but they let us on the plane with it and it was NOT the largest bag we saw being carried onto the plane.

The flight was very smooth and uneventful. I spent most of it looking at the clouds and finding shapes. I thought this one sort of looked like a boar.

I also spent some time on the flight contimplating just when to tell my new DH that we are really staying at the Poly instead of the WL. Although Christy (PopArtGal) posted a pic for me that showed WL and POLY were the same ME line, I got worried and decided I was going to have to do it before we got to the ME counter.

So we got off the plan and started walking. We went on the monorail and once we got to Terminal B and were about to go down the escalator to ME I said, "Hey are you excited about staying at the Wilderness Lodge?" "Yeah, totally!" "Would you be disappointed if we weren't staying there?" DH was very confused and seemed a little in shock when I told him we were staying at the Poly. Good thing, too, because ME has changed the way it works and you no longer go to the counter, but straight to the line for your resort.

I had my ears on since we got off the plane and they waved us right to our bus, no waiting in the line at all! Now, here was are, super-psyched about finally starting our vacation and the guy who scanned our ME voucher started chewing our ears off...which would have been fine except for the fact that he kept going on and on about how we are wasting our money on trips to Disney and we are making them rich and it's not worth it blah blah blah. He was talking in like a joking manner and we were trying to giggle and politely disagree but after a while, we just wanted to get on the bus and forget about this guy, who should be FIRED by the way! NOT something that you want to hear on the very start of your vacation!

BUT, we didn't let him get us down! Although we were sitting on that bus waiting to leave for what seems like hours, while Disney Downer was chatting up our driver....here he is! I wish I would've gotten the name of Disney Downer...

Before we knew it, we passed under that beautiful sign!!
ry%3D480

And another beautiful sign! My sister says she loves staying at the MK resorts because once you go through this sign, it's like you're IN the MK!
ry%3D480

It was like 10:00 by the time we got to the Poly. There was no wait at check-in and we got the requests that I put in for. Tokelau with a balcony. They also gave us leis and "Just Married" buttons. They took my cell phone number and told me they would text me when our room was ready.

Okay, let's go to the MK!!!!!

Wow, that guy's weird!

But glad you got on a bus quickly.

There was such a huge line when we got there.

Wow, that guy definately didn't eat his Wheaties that morning, huh? :confused3 At least it didn't ruin your arrival in Orlando!

And what a cute shirt, by the way! Darling! :cutie:
