Here's something I don't think I've seen on here before: craft ideas that you can make with the "stuff" you bring home from WDW to create meaningful but less expensive souvenirs. I'll start:

I made a lap desk out of the fastpasses, tickets, room coasters, postcards, napkins, maps and other flat stuff I brought home. I glued the stuff to a large piece of fiberboard (I painted it first for an attractive background) the coated it in a plastic resin mixture I got from Michaels. The resin dries hard, waterproof and wipe-able, thus protecting the items below. Then I attached a decorative pillow underneath and trimmed the edges of the desk with some nice ribbon.

What are your carfty ideas? Let's get 'em rolling!!! :earsboy:

Very interesting idea, Disneefun! I've got tons of old paper memorabilia from our trips just sitting in bags...I planned to use some of it in a scrapbook, but now I'm thinking I might use some of it to make a decoupaged tray (along the lines of your lap desk) or maybe even laminated placemats. The family would love it! Thanks for sparking the ideas!! :goodvibes
