Good luck. My husband has some kind of fascination with this idea of taking the train. It didn't help that we sat right next to a guy at Tune In Lounge last year who worked for the Raleigh or Durham train. I'm like no way! My husband showed me a picture of the sleeping cabin. It only sleeps 2 and the toilet doubles as a chair? I have to sleep within sniffing distance of a toilet? Mmmmm, no. Plus, it is more expensive and takes longer to get there than driving. My car practically drives itself; and my husband thrives on 500 calories and 5 hours of sleep a day anyway.

Now which train does your husband want to take The Autotrain or the reg Amtrak train, there are 2 one starts in I believe Philly and goes to Miami, it makes like 17 million stops along the way and you can't bring your car. Or The AutoTrain that you catch in Lorton VA and only makes 1 stop for fuel and ends in Sanford FL, and your car is with you

I'll have to dig out a pamplet to check out where the toilets are in the rooms on the Autotrain, I have never booked a room since the price is crazy high for them, but I really would not want to have the toilet in the room either

For you to take The Autotrain you would actually have to drive a few hours north only to pass your house on the train later on, so it really would not make much sense

My parents took the regular Amtrak train out of Philly once, they hated it, said like it seemed all they were doing was stoping at a station's and it took forever

I agree with you 100% I would not take the regular Amtrak train to FL either, The AutoTrain is also Amtrak but runs by a different set of standards, for instance on the lower floor of the lounge car there is a smoking room, I don't smoke but the point is it's way more accommodating since you can not get off the train till FL.

I was just going through some threads and OMG some of the things people worry about at WDW and how late some people discover they have to do something, a lot of things we would have thought of way in advance, for a 1st timer I could see some things over looked but by veterans

I'm over 200 days out and don't have a day planned yet. Can't make ADRs or have EMH yet to really plan. I know I can't really plan yet but it doesn't stop me from wanting to.

We're DVC members and I bought a season pass but I'm not getting it till we arrive. I know they haven't said yet how annual pass holder can make Fast Pass reservation. I'm sure I will need to already have my pass. So I think I will be walking around the first day making them.

Sorry I have been MIA lately guys, I have been so slammed with school work. I need t update my PTR this week as I also have plans laid out for my May trip. Still no ADR to BOG yet. Looks like we may not get it. Oh well, I got others, like Garden Grove's mother's day brunch. I need to get back on the ball for the Nov trip though, I will be able to make ADR's in a month or so, I need to be ready

I can see why you would be in a panic, but IMO I wouldn't sweat it, you should know in the next couple weeks now all the EMH parks so you can make your ADR's. as far as the Fast Pass reservations it's still in the testing phase so there is no saying anything will be even happening with it when you go, although if things change and they put it into affect I'm sure you could call and tell them your situation and maybe they can tell you what your AP number is so you can make the Fast Pass reservations Not the same thing but for a example, I book through AAA and for a few things I've made reservations at 6 months out even though you would not even find out about it till you got your packet at a month out just because I new a phone number and made the call

Hope you get it, but as a Commando don't cut yourself short being optimistic about getting it, Myself I would have the attitude that is where I'm staying until it is confirmed or told different, you got to positive even when touring the parks, The Force is strong it can sense doubt

Sorry to hear that Trish you just can't catch a break. I listed your new user name with your number with a FKA (formerly known as) wow now your like Prince Even if one day we had a million members you would always carry your number, As MaMudduck suggested I will give you a question that you will know the answer to, but just for fun If you were going to get a haircut at Harmony Barbershop what would be the best time and why

My sad tale of woe started on Sat when I received a Delivery Status Failure, you know the notice you get when a email fails to deliver your email. It looked "official" and everything looked right so I opened it. It was after I opened it that I smelled a rat so to speak and deleted it a couple of mins after opening the offending file. By that time it was too late. I'm extremely cautious about what I open in my email accounts, especially after my cc got skimmed in Jan. On Sunday after returning home from a meeting, I got a email from Amazon stating that another person had transferred all their personal info into my account and ordered a book on my email address. The address it was transferred from was not mine, and it was a person in CA that was attacking me. I was able to get the number for Amazon and gave them H@LL over what happened and they suspended the fraudsters book order. I contacted the police and since no money was involved they gave me some really good advice. I had to create a new email account, and was partially locked out of my old account by the hackers. I had to contact all our friends and warn them about the Cyberattack. I'm going to do this in 2 parts so it doesn't time out on me.

I had to attempt to change my email account in all the various websites and things online that I belong to. I had to contact my airline and hotel to change my email address and warn them of the Cyber attack. I had to then contact all the websites I have my personal info with that I couldn't change the email manually with myself. My CC wants to lock down the account AGAIN and issue me with a new card, the second one in 3 months. We reached a compromise on this issue. I'm going out on Weds to pick up DS8's birthday gifts, then on Saturday will lock down the CC again and have them reissue me a new card with a new card number. I have to change my CC number with the hotel, but when I have the new number will contact them direct to change the CC # with them. It's realistically going to take another 3 to 4 weeks to get this all sorted out, but it's about 90% completed at this point.

I tried to get a hold of GOOGLE to attempt to delete the compromised email account. What an exercise in frustration that was. Was told at one point that it was going to cost me $100 for them to delete the account, so I told them to take a flying leap off the nearest cliff. I did find that I had partial control of my email account, and found a way to delete the email account myself. This royally scr@@@ws up the fraudsters, as they used my email account to buy the book on Amazon, and now they don't have an account anymore. Score one for me. I spent 6 hrs on Sunday and 2 1/2 hrs yesterday trying to repair the damage that the hackers did. I have no idea if my webshots account is even there anymore as they managed to hack into that. I contacted them but have yet to receive a response. It may be easier just to set up an new Webshots account under the new email account if they don't get back to me. I didn't have many pics in there anyway, other than some Halloween ones. It's something I'm going to have to look into later today. What a right royal pain. They tried to hack into my Best Western Rewards card as I was on the phone to them, so they've put fraud alerts up. Just as bad as ID theft.

So I tell my tale of Cyberhacking, so that others are aware of what can happen if you let your guard down for one split second when it comes to online and personal info security. I'm extremely cautious, and I still managed to get hit 2 times in the last 3 months, one with a CC being skimmed, now this Cyberattack by hackers. Just be very cautious out there, and don't open any file that you suspect might be suspicious. My CC has blocked all online purchases as a precaution until I give them permission to lock down the account and reissue me a new card with a new number. What a royal mess. I felt the new user name for me was appropriate as with all the stuff I'm going with this year, it feels like a fresh start and new beginnings.
