WDW Commando Club

WOW I just read that when Star Tours reopens it will have over 50 random destinations:scared1: They are making a Galactic Passport to keep track of the destinations visited:cool1:

I wonder how long it will be before someone has done them all:confused3,

That's awesome! When I read about it, it sounded like there would only be 4 or 5. That's a great idea that they're creating a passport to go along with it. :dance3:

I can't wait to see the new Star Tours! I'm wondering if it will become our first fastpass in the morning instead of TSM for a while?!

I have a video of us at rope drop...we just can't help ourselves! Such commandos! Always gotta be at the front of the line in the morning! haha:rotfl:

Just wondering, it looks like your husband is the FP runner, where do you go 1st at rope drop:confused3

My wife goes for the TSM FP, and I take my son to Jedi Training sign up, try to knock off 2 big things 1st thing:cool1:

Oops Double post

We're trying the commando thing this time around. We went before once in 2003 and had a ton of fun just winging it, but now that I know about the whole commando / touring plans thing, we're scheduled.

We're taking my little cousin, who is graduating from high school, along as her grad gift. She's never been, so we want to make the most of it. She is completely on board. Since my youngest is only six, I'm prepared for the possibility that we will have to deviate from some plans, but at least we should get to our most essential attractions.

Of course, I have instituted a walking regimen for the boys, so they should be in shape by the time we arrive. I write $1 on the calendar for every 3 mile walk, and I will pay up for spending money on the trip. This weekend we're doing Bloomsday, which is a little over seven miles. We'll see if it all pays off.

And here's our plan:

Arrival Day Friday - Magic Kingdom to watch the parade, maybe get Mickey ears. Anything we get done is just bonus.

Saturday - AK. Lunch at Yak & Yet. Dinner at DTD T-Rex Cafe

Sunday- MK with a midday break. Wishes Dessert Party.

Monday - Universal Studios. Lunch at Emerils. Hopefully skip over to IOA in the evening if crowds at Harry Potter have thinned. Our hotel is really close to these parks, so a midday break should be easy on Monday and Tuesday.

Tuesday- IOA. Lunch at Mythos.

Wednesday - HS Splitting up to sign up for Jedi Training and get TSM passes. Lunch at Sci-Fi. Dinner at Prime Time.

Thursday - Epcot.

Friday - Not flying out until evening, so whatever park we want most or shopping. We could even do a waterpark if we're not totally exhausted by this point.

All Breakfasts will be eaten free at the Hotel.

Looks good :thumbsup2

Don't miss the Mango pie at Yak and Yeti! Delicious!

No dining reservations for Epcot? I was pleasantly surprised at the quick service Electric Umbrella, but the Via Napoli pizza was incredible!

Chris, can't wait to hear about your adventures:cool1: You had alot of great "extras":woohoo:

Thanks, Ron! I'll try to get to it soon, but DD First Communion is Saturday and I have some serious yardwork to get to

I'm kinda sad that The British Invasion Band is leaving Epcot:scared1: I hope the new act is just as good (whatever it is:confused3) otherwise I'll have a extra 20mins to kill:lmao:

WHAT?! :confused3 They were always on my must-see list, for at least one show, sometimes 2! The whole family will be disappointed...

Your plans look great !

How do you sign up for Jedi Training & what are TSM passes? Thanks!

TSM - Toy Story Mania

Jedi Training sign up is now 1st come 1st serve, they start sign ups when park opens over at Star Tours, they give you a ticket with what time to come back, it fills up quick so you have to get there early.

For us Commandos this is great, since you get a confirmed time 1st thing in the AM, you don't have to have to waste time during the day inbetween shows trying to get a spot:yay:

A couple of things I just read about on my favorite blog It's A Disney World After All

- Lightning McQueen will be replacing Herbie The Love Bug in Lights, Motors, Action extreme Stunt Show in June:cool1:

Rumor - Jedi Training is possibly moving to the Sounds Dangerous Building, with a possible living character initiative version of Yoda:woohoo:

I find that the info on this blog is very accurate, as a Commando I got to keep on top of this kind of info:rolleyes1

I meant Toy Story Mania Fast Passes, which I understand are a must first thing. At Star Tours, I will sign my kids up to participate in Jedi Training. My oldest is really into Star Wars, so that is our biggest must do of the trip.

Do you know when this could happen. We're going in June, and I want to be sure I am on top of this one.
