I just found out yesterday that we're pregnant. The clomid worked on the first try! :)

Anywho, we had a vaca booked for April 25-May 2. I am REALLY excited about it, we got the 4/3 deal, and I can't wait to go again. DD will be about 22 months and I think she'll have a blast.

Have any of you gone and actually had a good time? I know I won't be able to do ToT, any of the Mountains, and I'm OK with that. I just had a HORRIBLE pregnancy last time with hyperemesis, and a bleeding placenta previa.

My theory is to wait it out and have my 20 week U/S a smidge earlier so I know if I have a previa again, then I'll be able to change my reservation to December without the penalty.

Thoughts? Insight? Been there done that?

I did Disneyland at about 25 weeks and was fine. I've been very lucky, I have had comfortable, problem free pregnancies.
Will you have another adult w/ you to help w/ your Dd and take her on the rides you can't go on?
I would plan on taking the trip and if you find as it gets closer that you aren't feeling up to it just reschedule.
Congratulations!

DH will definitely be coming w/ us, and he's a very helpful, hands-on dad. She's still a peanut so I think anything I can't do, she can't do either. :)

I really really hope this is a comfortable pregnancy. I have seen lots of other pregnant women at WDW, and they seemed OK! I just hope I can be one of them :)

Thanks for your response :)

We also did the trip about 18 weeks pregnant. No you can't do the mountains - Splash, Big Thunder, etc... But it is still lots of fun. Especially with your child. As long as you have someone to help you lift them up and down like on the carousel or in the boats you will have a great time. Besides, I don't know about you but Disney really had quite a few of my craving foods. The only thing I couldn't stand was all the Rotisserie Chicken! UGH!!!:rotfl:

Have a great time! :)

You can't beat the Disney foods! They are the best, pregnant or not :)
HAHA I had to laugh at your chicken comment-- I could NOT stand the smell of beef! I seriously thought I'd die when I smelled it!

Oooh! The carousel! I forgot about that. DD will Love it. We didn't do that last time, she was just a smidge too little to get it.

And you made me think of another thing about Splash Mtn... I swore it off after I got *SOAKED* last time. SO soaked that I had to go back to the resort to change! My shorts were dripping, it was horrible, must have looked like I had a very messy accident :P

I did WDW about 16 weeks pregnant w/ a 4 year-old, and my sister did it for our Grand Gathering @ 7 1/2 months (in July no less, with 2 little princesses ages 4 & 18mos!) - no problems for either of us, although she did need to take extra breaks one day because of the heat. I think it depends on how you feel, and also what your doctor says. It sounds like you are already open to the possibility that you'll need to reschedule, so keep your ressies for now and see how you (and ob) feel about it in the spring :goodvibes

I'll be about 28 weeks when I go in Feb and DD will be almost 4. My mom is coming with. I figure my pace will go along fine w/ a 4 year old, LOL!

I was about 20 weeks pregnant with DS, when we took DD, who was 2 1/2. We had an AWESOME time. My speed was just about perfect for DD.

I was only annoyed on the safari at AK. I REALLY wanted to go since I had never been and DH took DD and said how AWESOME it was.

He also got to ride EE when it was brand new (it wasn't even officially open yet) and I didn't. He was smarter then though, he didn't say how great it was. ;)

Other than that, we had a very magical trip. Lots of fun and food! I always love swimming in a pool when I'm pregnant, so that was definitely a plus. I made sure to stay hydrated. We always went back to the hotel in the afternoons for nap and a break. It's fun to see pictures with my DD at Disney World and know that DS was there too! :)

Oh, and MTA: CONGRATULATIONS! :)

Do you have the same OB this time around for your pregnancy? If so, I would suggest talking to him/her and seeing what they think. Even if it's not the same OB from your first pregnancy.

Overall, I've heard nothing but good things from other DISer expectant moms who've been to WDW at 20+ weeks pregnant.

We just got back last weekend and I am 33 weeks. I had a wonderful time and was amazed that I wasn't any more tired than I normally am after a day at the parks. Our pace was much slower and we just enjoyed some of the things we are always too busy to see. I was very annoyed with the fact that I had to visit every single bathroom on property, I didn't think my bladder was that small!!! Other than your doctor's opinion, the only thing I would worry about is the heat that time of year.
Congrats! I hope you are able to go and have a fabulous time.

Congrats.

Every woman's pregancy is different. Mine was miserable from the day I started having symptoms to the day I gave birth. I can't imagine having taken a trip during that time. And I was borderline pre-eclampsia for the second and third trimester - there is no way my doctor would have let me go to WDW.

But plenty of people go and have a great time. Keep the reservation and see how you are doing as the time gets closer. If you have to cancel or postpone, you can make the decision later.
