I thought I posted this already, but don't see it anywhere....

I am looking to try some new wines when DH and I go in January. I don't particularly care for reds (too dry), but am open to try new things :)
Here is our list of ADR's but we might try some resort lounges too.

I would love to hear about some of your favorite wines.

Thur-Pepper Market
Fri-Light CS dinner at EPCOT
Sat-Yachtsman Steakhouse
Sun-Raglan Road
Mon-Le Cellier
Tues-MK and HDDR(obivouslyy not here :))

TIA! :wave2:

Looking at your list of restaurants I'd say that the Yachtsman will be your best bet. They have a very good wine list and serve almost all of their wines by the glass. I'd ask the somelier to come up with some suggestions, based on what you like.

LeCellier has Ice Wine, you should try this and see if you like it. Over at France there is a selection of wines and champaigns that you can order by the glass as you walk around Epcot. Italy has a nice wine flight where you can try different wines. Most countries have their wines available at a counter service restaurant. This is a good way of trying new wines. although it can make for a long day.

For a real treat go to the food and wine next October and bring a notebook to record what you like. Have a nice trip.

I am not a big wine drinker. However, I have to say that the ice wine at Le Cellier is the best wine ever. I like my drinks sweet and this did not disappoint It is delicious!

the sangria type drink they serve at HDDR should be sweet enough that you might like it...but, as you said, no other wine choices there as far as I know.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Anyone else?? I am up for trying something new!

If you have time, the night you go to Yachtsman, you can go early and stop in at Martha's Vineyard in the Beach Club. They do a wine flight, which is 3 glasses of either red or white wine. It's a nice relaxing lounge and it would give you a chance to taste some nice new wines.

Also, if I remember correctly, Le Cellier has a very nice reisling. And I agree, that you MUST try the ice wine for dessert

Have fun!
