WDW 40th Dooney Bag- I can't find one!! Help!!

Hello DIS Brides!!

I am not sure where to ask- apparently there is a Disney Dooney thread on DIS- but I can't find one!!

My mom just informed me she is going to buy me a 40th Anniversary WDW Kristen Dooney & Bourke Bag!!! For my bridal shower gift!

Since my mom couldn't keep the surprise she wants me to find the bag and just go ahead and order it- problem is, it isn't on the disney store website anymore- and I don't know how else to go about getting it? There are some on Amazon and Ebay- but I am hesitant to purchase from there due to copies and fakes. I emailed the Disney Store.com but not sure if that will help me! Any other suggestions or ideas?

Isn't there a merchandise hotline you can order stuff directly from the parks? Or any close DIS brides live near Disney??

you can call a number that will get you park merch - it isn't calling a particular store though! it is very helpful if you have a SKU# or at least a very good, exact description!

DH says he used to have the number in his phone.... is googling it now!

I wanted one for my birthday but they were also sold out online and when I called the merchandise number they said they were out of stock. So, Greg ended up buying one on ebay. The Dooney thread is on the Theme Parks board under the community section. A lot of people buy off ebay...I don't think there are fakes...you just have to pay a significant mark up on retail sometimes.

I would give the merchandise number a call--- I just bought the 40th anniversary messenger bag last week. I think these bags go pretty quickly, but they *did* have all styles in stock at the jewelry store in MK.

You might also try calling the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. I don't know their number but the DD number is 407-828-3058. You may also try calling some of the resort gift shops - some of them have a pretty good selection. I know I saw them at the gift shops at Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom Lodge when we were there last, but Yacht and Beach Club didn't seem to have a lot. The very best selection I saw at a resort was at Boardwalk. . . I think it was in Thimbles & Threads. . . the resort number is 407-939-5100, don't know the direct line to the shop.
