I had a few issues when I booked with Walt Disney Travel last trip but for the most part it worked out ok. I should have learned a lesson but I booked online again for this trip. Anyway, I have been trying to upgrade to a suite or at least two rooms because I don't think we are going to be comfy in one. My DM is going and I love her dearly but she can be a pain sometimes. Her and my DH in the same room for 4 days is not sounding very appealing. Anyway, they keep telling me I don't need another room because i will have plenty of room in our oversized room with 2 Queen beds AND a daybed. I cannot find one single solitary thing that says The Grand Californian hotel has rooms with two queens and a daybed. Anyone experienced this? And even if it is true I'm not sure it will help our particular situation.

Have you tried calling the hotel directly? I've only booked with WDTC for a Good Neighbor hotel.. Maybe if you try calling the hotel, if there is a number available..

Why not just call the hotel direct and book a second room. They can link it to to your WDTC reservation with the connecting room request. This way you keep your package with tickets for everyone and still get the extra space with the room only reservation.

Yep. I call the Grand Californian direct all the time for questions, changes, etc. Very helpful. 714-635-2300
