WCC with seniors?

My parents (upper 70s) will be with me on my next WDW trip. I'm looking for a couple new places to eat where none of us have been, and so I'm considering WCC for lunch. I've heard that there are lots of antics there by the wait staff. I think my parents would get a huge kick out of WATCHING the antics, but wouldn't want to be a "target" of the antics themselves. Is that even doable, or should I just skip that place?

(To help explain a bit, we're doing a non-park trip this time. So we're going to go explore some of the resorts, enjoy DD and the Boardwalk area, and just relax around SSR where we're staying. Wilderness Lodge is one of the resorts we've never explored before, which is why I'm considering WCC.)

TIA! :)

We ate there in Dec. and there was not a whole lot going on. The waitress did throw straws on the table and did a little kidding, but not much. They did do the catsup bit and pony races with kids, but that was about all.
As to looking around the resort, there is a tour on some mornings around
9:30. Your group might enjoy this. I'm not sure which mornings, their front desk can tell you. Or, check the WL thread on the resort board here.

Thanks, slimplaw, this is great information. I had no idea there was any kind of tour of WL. I'll go to the resorts board and see what I can find out. Again, thank you.

Anyone else have opinions on taking my parents to WCC without them having to worry about being singled out for anything embarrassing?

Please don't take this wrong but WCC without the antics is just an overpriced, blah meal. You can do better.

Not to worry -- I don't take it wrong at all. I wanted candid comments so I could decide if this is a good choice for us. I appreciate your honest reply. Thank you! :)

DH and I (in our 50's) went there for lunch. Not only was the food not very good, my husband was singled out and was horrified. We had done nothing to indicate we wanted any antics and perhaps that is why our CM did it, but we will not return.

We were there in September and saw none of the antics they talk about. We were put in the back room where there are only like five or six tables. We sat and waited over 40 minutes for our ADR right outside the main dining room and saw/heard none of the antics either. I guess it depends on when you go. We didn't care for it (we are 51 and 56) and won't go back. Service was terrible and the food was overrated in our opinion. DH got sick on the ribs and/or chicken in the skillet--the only two things I didn't try because I didn't like any of the other food; maybe if you order off the menu instead of the skillet it is better.

Yikes, my parents, especially my dad, would be horrified too. Sounds like I should probably consider somewhere else. Thanks for your reply!

This doesn't sound very encouraging either. If the food isn't that great, there's really no reason to go. Thanks for sharing your experience!
