WCC or Ohana's

OK! They BOTH sound like they would be fun for the kiddos - have a 7& 2 yo a grandma & an aunt/uncle going...HOW do you decide which 1 to do? (can only do 1 this time!)

Looked at the photos & there's not really any showing the skewers or anything---the food seems fine at either one....

Maybe I should decide by the clothes we can wear - we all have something luau - ish we could wear...

ok-1 other question...w/the MYW paln at WCC do you eat the skillet or do you have to eat from the "mainclaims section---the meatloaf, etc...)
It seems to me that WCC might have more food variety to choose from...1 person doesn't eat BBQ (CRAZY I KNOW ) so I'm wondering if Ohana's wouldn't be a good choice.....
OH I HATE WHEN I have to decide for other folks!!! I just need to pick 1 & if they want to eat with us they just have to deal with it!

We prefer O'hanas over WCC. Enjoy both, but love O'hanas more. If your family likes down home comfort food and aren't much into trying new things, go to WCC. If you family is big on adventure and enjoy island type food. O'hanas is the way to go.

I'm sure I'm going to be the minority but we Liked WCC more. Ohana's was OK but I think I was expecting too much and I just wasn't blown away by it and my 9yo didn't like the food. We had a great time at WCC and we had the skillet with our meal plan.
I'm sure I wasn't much help either.

I definitely liked Ohana's better. They were both good but if I had to choose, I'd go back to Ohana's again in a minute.

We had very bad service and pretty awful food at Ohanas- we wont be going back. WCC on the other hand was just great!!!!!!

I'm in the same boat as you - trying to pick WCC or Ohanas - can't fit in both.... so I'm not any help at all - SORRY! But I AM interested in hearing everyone's opinions. The food sounds better at Ohanas, but the antics sound more fun for my kids at WCC...........

Having done both, our family agrees that both were fun and the food was very good at each.

Of the two, Ohanas has our vote because we liked the food selections there; and we prefered the atmosphere & decor there better.

Food and atmosphere at Ohanas is in our opinion better but what sets Ohanas apart is the view you have of the Castle. Especially if you arange your dinner time around the MK fireworks schedule

if you check the top of the restaurant threads there is a sticky that says "post your disney dining pics" I believe in there are pictures of both the food at WCC and Ohanas ... that might help you some. I love WCC personally and we always stay at the WL. You can see the electrical water pageant from the beach... I'm not too sure about seeing the fireworks from the beach ..but I don't think you can see the fireworks from the WCC... at least I have never seen them or heard of them being seen any of the times I have been there. Hope I helped some. Making dining plans is probably the hardest part of the trip. I have to deciede for both me and dh and its HARD cause he doesnt give any imput and I feel responsible for making sure every one has the most magical time!!!! Have an incredible trip and enjoy the magic!!

You cannot see the fireworks from WCC, since it is located on the first floor of the hotel but we have had great rooms at the WL, up on the fifth or sixth floor, where you can see the MK fireworks right from your balcony.

Well, I seem to think I am in the minority too..........my entire family absolutely hated Ohana's........didn't like the food in the least bit. There were only a couple of games for my daughter, and the coconut game........they ran out of coconuts and she was the only one left without one and didn't get to play (needless to say, her overprotective father was not too happy about what happened to his PRINCESS

Anyway, we all absolutely LOVED WCC--everything about it and all the food. The smore dessert was absolutely one of the best desserts I've ever had!!! MMMMMM..... I would go back in a second!!

I like both Ohana's and WCC. However I've had good and bad experiences at both...Ohana's can be hectic with the coconut races and such but WCC is just plain crazy. Sometimes the food at ohana's is great sometimes it's a little off. Sometimes at WCC you get a good server who makes your experience memorable other times you get a server who doesn't do anything another restaurant wouldn't do. If I had to choose one however, my vote would definitely go to Ohanas. There's nothing like watching the fireworks over the castle while I eat my dessert!!!
