Ok DH wanted WCC for the BBQ he thought it would be a nice change of pace. However, the reviews lately haven't been the greatest and it seems they aren't doing the funny antics. Any recent ideas on this? Here are the places we are eating.

Kona
'Ohana
Coral Reef
CP-breakfast
Garden Grill
Raglan Road
WCC-?

They are all dinner except CP. Do you think we should keep WCC or switch to Concourse I see they have Ribs. What do you all think about the concourse over WCC?:confused3

We just got back, and ate three times at WCC, twice for breakfast and once for a late dinner. Seemed to me certain servers were much more into the antics than others, and will probably depend on your willingness to play along. Our breakfast server on our last day was "Uncle Dave" and he was a riot! I think most of the servers can tell if you are into them playing it up, or tired and just want to be served. As for the food, it was good, despite what you may have read on this thread. Order the Skillet, and you'll leave with a full belly!:thumbsup2

We ate at the WCC when we were at the WL last Sept. and thought it was really good. Our waitress was pretty toned down in the antics dept., and that was fine by us. We thought the food was good - kids and I split the skillet and DH had something else (meatloaf?? I don't know, something odd like that). I thought the BBQ was really good, and certainly generous portions since it was all you can eat. Nothing gourmet, but down home good eats. If you are looking for entertainment then you may want to look elsewhere - Hoop or a character meal maybe?
We enjoyed our meal, and we'll be going back this Sept. even though we will be at the Poly instead of the WL. Worth the trip I think. (not to mention a trip the WL - a treat in and of itself!):thumbsup2

We ate there this April. Food was great and they did all the antics, even at lunch when we were there.

Keep in mind that even though different servers have different personalities in the antics department, the antics really involve the guests and really just 2 or 3 people that sort of organize the antics. Usually our server at WCC just handles our food service, and there's one or two CM's that spend more time goofing off with the guests than actually serving, leading the "singing" thing the men have to do, leading the little horsey race around the restaurant for kids, etc. I suspect their job descriptions are a little more into the "antics" area and most other servers' job descriptions would be service with a smile.

This way, most servers can play it fairly straight and not have to worry about how their guests wish to be treated in the antics area. If guests don't want to participate, they can choose not to, and the antics are removed enough from them that they can do so without being bothered.

We love the WCC. Actually when we were there in april- it was my son's birthday. Our server (Dusty Trails) made me ride a stick pony all around the dining room while singing happy birthday. Talk about embarrassing. It was a lot of fun for my son though :rotfl2:
