I need help with WCC. My DH does not like to be the center of attention. He would rather die that be put in the spotlight. Last time we were at WCC the server was brand new and did not involve us in any of the antics..even though, being he ham that I am, tried. That was fine with my DH as we enjoyed watching the antics of others. We enjoyed the food and we are planing on going back. Well the ADR that I snagged happened to be on our
10th anniversary. I did tell Disney travel that it was our anniversary but I did not add it to the actual WCC ADR. I just looked up my ADRs online only to discover that they do add every celebration to every ADR. Now I don't care what they have me do but I do know that if they make us skip around the resturant singing "you are my sunshine" (like they did another couple) my DH would probably drop dead on the spot. At the very least it woudl ruin his meal. I am not sure if we should change the ADR (DH does love the food and the hotel). I know that if we are encouraged to play along and try to decline we would be put on the spot even more. Hey I wouldn't mind doing a crazy stunt alone..I just don't want to have my DHs meal ruined.

My DH is the same way. He loved the food and atmosphere of the restaurant, but does not want to be involved in the antics. I would suggest that when you arrive and sign in that you have the greeter place a note to your server as to your requests. I am sure that will abide by your wishes--there are so many people there who DO want the antics, I'm sure they won't mind focusing on others.

BTW, Happy early anniversary!

Happy Anniversary! Isn't that what Disney's all about - a little more "magic" than you'd normal have for an anniversary dinner?!! Maybe you should prep DH before you sit down!?

This is funny. I recently called to add my parents' 48th anniversary as a celebration to our dinner at Tutto and sure enough when I was looking everything up today it's listed on EVERY reservation, including WCC. My mom would be a hoot but there is no way my father will want to do anything.

I don't think I'll say anything though and just let it play out...:lmao:

I don't know when you are going, but if it's before December, report back so we know what they did!

Your DH won't necessarily be the "center of attention." We were there for our 25th anniversary last year and nto a word was said about it. In fact, the entie time we were there for dinner (over two hours -- and we never ordered desset because we just wanted to get out of there), there were absolutely NO antics going on at all...no pony race, no happy birthdays (I think we heard one ketchup thing go on while we were waiting over 25 minutes for our ADR). If you want to avoid it, I've been told you can ask to be seated in the "outer room."

can i tell you I had no idea it was that kinda resturant when we ate there!
we just stayed at WL and ate breakfast there.
We asked for ketchup for my sons eggs and well we were so embarrassed to say the least.
However, my son loved it so much that is all he talked about the rest of the trip and cried he wanted more ketchup!
go figure?

I think the wait staff at WCC is pretty good at picking up on a customer they can pick on vs. someone who would rather not have that type of experience.

I say go ahead and go.You could also request a "quiet" area table when you check in.Just tell them that you prefer not to be in the middle of the action ;-)
