Good Morning Holly. Hope it's a good day for you today.

I keep thinking about all those poor people on Carnival. I told John I would not eat anything because I could not poop in a bag. I would drink liquids only and pee in the toilet without flushing it.

I can't even imagine them having to think about doing that much less that they actually did it. I would own Carnival Cruise Lines by now for as much as I would sue them for.

I bet they are all meeting with lawyers today.

Its definitely crazy, but at least they're all alive, unlike the Concordia last year.

Hi Cork!!! How are you today? We got another dusting of snow last night. Everything is white again. Fortunately there is not enough to plow. Hopefully it will melt off if we get some sun outside.

We have a dusting as well, but as the day goes on it is melting.
Things are pretty quiet on the the current PC thread.
We haven't signed up for any of the current itineraries. The SC looks interesting. I was hoping for the Canada route again. Taking the train was very convenient.

Well, the one I really like, Carlos, did respond, he just said "OK, sounds good." Had lunch with him earlier in the week. We've known each other since August 2001 when we sat together at orientation for our UPS job. A bit of history. I've always liked him, we had a few dates over the years, but he's skittish. Our coworkers and his friends ALL told me he liked me a lot and not to give up on him.

The other who didn't respond, Alex, I didn't expect him to. He hangs out with a group of guys every night. And he wouldn't want me to think he's interested because he's not available in that way. He's the maintenance guy for our landlord at work and his boss has a strict policy that he can't date tenants. Understandable, so I really shouldn't put him on the spot like that, but we did go out for drinks once. The night before Thanksgiving. He said he'd like to hang out with me more but is afraid of risking his job.

Turn out they are friends. Went to high school together. In fact, at lunch with Carlos, he told me he saw Alex the previous weekend and told me to tell him hi for him and tell him he wants to hang out with him soon. They both sometimes hang out at the place Alex and I had drinks that one night. Small world!

Well YAY for Carlos! I hope you can get together.

Alex has a good reason why he can't respond. So he is forgiven.

Funny that not only do they know each other, but they are friends. Too cool!!

Actually had to get up out of bed to answer the door. Neighbor teen selling stuff for a school fundraiser. So......since I've actually managed to make myself upright, might as well get moving and head out to get stuff done.

problem is... you can't really sue them for much... it's in the small print... THAT needs to be changed...

Even the people who died on the concordia only got about $57,000.

My cousin and Kyle's mother never went to court or had a lawyer. They came to an agreement betweent the two of them when Kyle was a baby. They have worked it out together throughout Kyle's life. He is now 18 and he is "asked" to keep the schedule that his mom and dad agreed upon. He continues to do it out of respect for his parents. Soon he will graduate and go away to college. Then he can stay where he wants to when he's home visiting. Kyle turned out to be a really good kid. He has manners and respect for others. Something I find lacking in most of our youth today.

What a nice kid

Ella has dry cat chow that she eats all day long, but we also give her fancy feast small cans of food once a day. We choose to do that at night. That's when the dog gets fed too.

I don't have any of my turtles. I gave them to an an animal rescue where they are living in ponds with many other turtles. It's a lot of work and expense managing all the tanks that I had them in, so we will not be able to care for them in Florida. I had to find a good home for them and I think that I did.

I bet the turtles are happy! and the ones you are packing for the Florida trip will be lower maintenance.

WE have 3 cats. 2 of 3 graze the 3 eats and eats. so she has to be kept outside so as not to over eat. but we only feed dry...

Jan, I'd never heard of designated feeding times either. Glad I'm not the only one. And then when we go away for a weekend, I just put out a bigger bowl of food. But....maybe like people, some cats might not only eat when they're hungry and might eat just because it's there?

If I'd only read a little further before posting, LOL! Makes perfect sense. They don't all eat the same way.

Good thing you know your own cats!

Slept through my alarm, so I didn't make it to church.

I think my strange swollen eye problem may have had something to do with the feather pillow I've been using lately. I didn't use it last night and woke up without that problem. Strange.

Holly- please feel free to get all blathery. That's what friends are for! I hope the pillow was the issue for your eyes since it's an easy fix.

I'm not feeling up for very much today. We went to the carpet place for a quote yesterday and it was higher than what I expected. I want to check Home Depot today to see if we can save some money by using them, but not TOO hopeful. Apparently fixing up my living room is a good deal more $$ than I thought. Grrr.

Also, I found out that Olivia has an adult tooth growing in behind her baby teeth on the bottom. So we need to get those front teeth yanked or she's headed to the dentist. She is NOT happy.

Anyway, hope everyone else is having a good holiday weekend!

I've not been very productive today. Only thing I've managed to do is cover my gray again. Hoping to clean the bathroom and kitchen, do dishes and grocery shop before picking up Tyler. Oh, and get to the YMCA to renew our membership so we can possibly go swimming tonight. We're celebrating Valentine's Day tonight, so I'm going to let him choose between going out for dinner, swimming, or watching Hotel Transylvania.

If you go to Home Depot... be careful... the people who had our house before us did that... the installation was a mess because a few years later.. our carpet started to buckle - they didn't pull it tight enough...

I'd go with a regular installer... maybe a different carpet...
