Sukie forego a meal???? Sukie is not very good with physical discomfort of any kind.

I did drag him to memorial services at the end of the day, because his mother passed away this past spring. I thought it would do him some good.

Today was a nightmare at work, Energizer Bunny was out of town but had us email him everything for his review, then he'd email it back with changes or with the OK to send stuff out, but for some reason he decided it would be a good idea to email TWO secretaries, so we were both trying to figure out who should do what, who already did certain things, etc. So finally I left that part to her and just tried to work on stuff still piled up on our desks from this week. Quite a disaster, but on MOnday there will be 3 of us once again, so we should be able to get caught up.

SO.........I stopped on the way home for my favorite, a Subway footlong, AND some beer! I also rented 2 more movies (You Don't Mess With the Zohan & Baby Mama). Off to eat my supper and start watching Zohan.

Holly, sorry you had a bad day at work but love your attitude! Glad you can leave it behind you for the weekend and not worry about it until Monday. I am still trying to learn to leave work behind even if just until the next day Since it's a holiday weekend here, the store was crazy busy just as I was leaving, I hurried out and didn't look back Guess that's a start. But I'm still worrying about how I'm going to get payroll done tomorrow afternoon then everything I have to do for the weekly close...I'm sure they'll expect me to come down from my office to help with the zoo of people at some point . I will try to stay focused on finishing work on Sunday and then enjoying Turkey dinner with family and having Thanksgiving Monday all to myself! Bad news is that I will then be working 10 days straight without a day off. Good news is I will then be on vacation.

Ok, finally made the Turkey day ressies. It was hard. Most of our favorite local places were out of business or changing ownership and not open yet. This economy is killing everyone.

This is a great place and it's not far. It's got beautiful views since it's up on the mountaintop. I'll try to remember to bring the camera and take pictures.

We're doing a sit down dinner not a buffet. I like that better because I can take home a doggy bag. I will order turkey and trimmings. John hates turkey so he'll order something else.

Their champagne brunch looks good. We'll have to go and try that out. I know mom has been there before and we have ordered cakes from them for special ocassions. Now I'm happy and excited. It's going to be a great day.

I hate the idea of having to put a down payment on this cruise soon though, our Canadian dollar is not heading in the right direction and plummeted today Doesn't help that I have to pay for our trip to WDW in two weeks

As a matter of fact, the china and the silver comes out for the occasion, along with the silver salt cellars, and the crystal.

Mind you, we're wearing sweat pants, but the table looks good.

We have roughly the same guests every year with some additions and deletions.

One of our guests has been flying over from the UK for Thanksgiving for the past 15 years or so.

The food is very good. The wine is very good. The conversation is very bawdy.
