Michelle...this rust spot?
DSCF6758.jpg

Bubba... V... I think you guys need to add to this post... an interesting post about how Carnival handled TS Fay as opposed to DCL... People are talking about how they don't like Carnival...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1930530

Oh yeah... and there's that rust spot again...

Some bruises, especially ones that have a bump with them, can last quite awhile (few months). Usually they do change in color though. I'm sure it is fine, but good you are getting it checked out. Where is our doctor Kaylee when we need her??!
We have both of those books! We have a new neighbor in the neighborhood that moved up from L.A. She was saying how crazy getting into schools were for k-grade (my second to youngest is starting) in L.A. She said they do home visits??? Wow - it made me think of you. Has school started yet??

Sept 4th is a big day in this house... Kinder begins and wedding following a couple of hours later.

Yes, its very hard to get in with hundreds of applicants for 10-20 openings. At the good schools the family is considered. And guess what they do searches on all social networking websites. :scared1: :scared1:

I'm so sad to watch the end of the Olympics, but the London presentation made me want to leave tomorrow for it to all begin again.

But excuse me... when did Jimmy Page become a grandpa? I was shocked.

Oh yeah, US Open starts tomorrow! yea, yea, yea,

I

Sukie and I were watching a favorite show of his from the 1950's called "The Invisible Man."

I said to him, "So, when he takes his bandages off, he's running around naked?"

Sukie said, "That's right."

I said, "Well, at least no one can see that he has a big butt."

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, I was going to comment on your motivational techniques, but I can't stop laughing now!

.

So I uploaded pics to Flickr, but they don't give the right kind of code to work here. :headache: Going to try another site. Did I mention how much I hate technology?

I used flikr earlier today and justed posted the stupid link. :sad2:

BEDTIME!

Around the same time as Mick Jagger... :rolleyes1

I think if we move again for the government we will do everything ourselves and then get reimbursed instead of letting them arrange everything. We've moved a bunch of times and have never had so much broken stuff - and heck this is the first time professionals have packed our stuff as well as the truck.

Our friends have done better on beer and pizza then these guys getting paid did!

Because they did it on beer, pizza and LOVE. ::yes::

Just a quick stop...finally got rid of the migraine...about 2 hrs ago. Been sleeping as much as possible since I got home Friday. Normal time frame - if no meds my migraines last 72hrs....with new depression med I can't take migraine med...will need to see if I can take Excedrin Migraine.

Looks like you've given me about 50 pages to read...seems like old times :-)

Glad you are feeling better Monica.

House next to mine is a vacation rental.....you could always run over to my house for a break :rotfl:

I'm not sure you would want this noisy family next to you!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

DEBORAH....can you 'capture' this, or do you need me to e-mail it to you?

That is a lovely picture Jackie.

:thumbsup2 we will be there. Plan on driving down early sat. We did get home today from the worst cruise ever. Other then my dolphin swim in Cabo, I really feel like both Bubba and I wasted a weeks worth of vacation time.

One other highlight was seeing the Magic in Cabo and in PV. Here is how I felt about not being on her for her voyage home.

and that was no act either.:sad1:

Oh Venetia. I would have been the same. Seeing OUR ship on the revers OUR cruise was adding insult to injury.:sad2:

I was just reading WinoTracy's blog on the WB and there are 2036 Castaway Club members on their cruise....that beat our 1800(ish)! It's a record!

.

I seem to remember the whole total of people on our cruise was only around 2200 as numbers were low with less children and more singles.

My trip report........

Carnival S U C K S !!!!!!!!

So sorry Bubba, it must have been so disappointing. You did make me smile however - forgive me!

So Marilyn . . . who is this Mayor of London I just saw on the closing ceremonies? Is he related to our Billy Carter? Everyone else looked so tailored and dapper, and the London Mayor kind of looked like he rolled out of bed and put on his suit from the Men's Wearhouse . . .

Jimmy Paige is looking a bit old too . . .

Sorry you had such a bad time guys, but this post really made me laugh.

Busy weekend - Sophia and I biked a trail on the Ohio-Erie Canal yesterday. We went 16 miles - I was very proud of her!

John, Boris Johnson, the mayor did look a bit of a wreck didn't he. I was going to say to my John a the time the same words you did about him!!! Being the mayor of London he doesn't have anything to do with us too much - only deciding annoying things that affect us like congestion charges in London etc - but he is a bit of a character. He used to be an MP but was a bit of a buffoon and always putting his foot in things. I was so surprised he was elected to mayor, but I think it was a bit of a political thing as the last mayor was Labour and Boris is Conservative, so a bit of a protest anti Labour vote rather than anti the last mayor. He is a bit of an excentric and that can be funny. I don't think he was a good representative at the ceremony however.

& Talkin about the sweet stuff...

HI MARILYN!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

HI DEBORAH!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Hi Michelle.

I'm so sad to watch the end of the Olympics, but the London presentation made me want to leave tomorrow for it to all begin again.

Did you like the London presentation? There are some funny threads on boards over here about what we might see at the opening ceremony etc, and more importantly what we hope we don't!!!:lmao: :lmao:

I keep laughing because our committee keep saying that our games won't be on the great extravagant scale as Beijing but will be different etc etc. Basically they are saying we aren't spending lots of money(?!) on them!!!:lmao:

However, some country is going to have to start down scaling the extravagance at some time I guess.

Hi Everybody

I taped it and I watched it last night and I wonder about London 2012. I don't think same *** Beijing was beautiful colour and very clever!!

I wonder about London???

When I watched it, it remind me that I went to Australia to see Expo 88 and the colourful, lighting was so beautiful as I never see it before. It brought my memory back about it.

Scottishwee35:surfweb:

All I can think of about London 2012 is how full the place will be! I wonder where all the people will go?

I hope we aren't too embarassed.:sad2:

I would love to go there but I think it will be expensive.

I am sure that it will be fine and I feel that people will help out.

I want see cycling springer and hopeful it held in Glasgow? as it will be great if it is.

I am sad that is finish now and I keep the taped which Ian copy it yesterday as it looked brilliant.

My neighbour China people and they tell me that they have tape of open ceremony and told me that only one hour drive from their family home.
Lovely neighbour, very kind and always help us if we had the problem with the house or car!!

Ian, I would love to attend one of your meetings. You seem to really care about your members. I did have a really nice surprise in my mail box when we got home today....my favorite WW leader is BACK:cool1: :cool1: I'm so excited and just knowing she will be there on Friday makes the trepidation on weighing in after a couple of weeks off and on the cruise now something I'm looking forward to.

Venetia - Great that your favorite leader is back. Just take a deep breath, accept whatever the number is and keep moving forward, and take satisfaction that you came back.

So other than photobucket, what does everybody else use to get pictures posted on here? I don't know how to do it without photobucket. Did I mention I'm severely technologically challenged? ;)

I like smugmug

Nan,

Do I have your attention now? Give Wilson a big congratulations.

I just think it's fascinating and wonderful how talented and how many interests your kids have, and how you and Paul support and encourage them. So great for building skills for the future.

Monica!

OK.....we do a self catering cottege in England for a week THEN go up to Scotland and have a few friends join us here:

http://www.boturich.co.uk/index.htm

BTW, who's doing the cooking? ;) I might be able to live off tea and scones. ::yes::

....I'm off to buy us some lottery tickets......:lmao:

You could prepare by reading a series of novels I just started which are set in the low country of Scotland in the late 1700's. THORN IN MY HEART, FAIR IS A ROSE and WHENCE CAME THE PRINCE are a trilogy and GRACE IN THINE EYES stands alone but has some of the same people and places.
Author is Liz Curtus-Higgs. Sounds like she WISHES she had been born and raised in Scotland by the DETAIL she includes. She has traveled there extensively and stayed for extended visits to research the books.::yes::

I wonder if the Magic has started going through the canal. I don't see it yet on any of the cams.
