What is Tyler's last name?
Can he get mail at your house with just his name or should it be care of you?

Jan :rolleyes1
His last name is Barnes. Yup, he can get mail in his name, our mailman stops and chats with us whenever we're home at delivery time, so he knows both of us. In fact, Tyler gets lots of mail! My dad likes to send him letters sometimes just for fun, and he has a subscription to Ranger Rick magazine, and a friend of mine just started him on a subscription to Michigan Historical magazing for kids! :thumbsup2 He often comes home from his dad's and asks if he got any mail when he was gone. :lmao: Jan, are you being sneaky? ;)

Venetia - were you really that upset over seeing the Magic? Also, was Carnival really that bad? Sukie, said that he won't go on any cruise line but DCL. Not that he knows a lot about other cruise lines, but I did tell him what you and Bubba thought of Carnival.

Sukie won't go anywhere but the Cove Cafe... :goodvibes

Look!!! Bubba's rubbing the lucky snout of... oh... never mind... :lmao:

Wow, that's impressive. :scared1:
Jan, goodness gracious! :rotfl2: I responded as soon as I saw your question, but didn't see it for a while I guess because I did dishes and I've also STILL been fighting with photobucket. I so desperately want to share pictures of my favorite part of our day today but can't get photobucket to fully load. I guess I need to sign up for some other photo site. :headache:

Venetia, I love your PV pics! That was my favorite port on our PC cruise. I have many of your same pics! :goodvibes Fortunately, on the statue that Bubba was grabbing, Tyler wanted his picture only because he liked the diver mask (as he called it) and never even noticed anything....um.....different about the statue! :lmao:

Michelle...this rust spot?
DSCF6758.jpg
YUCKY! That's one difference that stood out for me with Carnival. I never saw them painting the ship, but you see DCL doing touchups ALL the time. :thumbsup2 You'd never see even a tiny speck of rust on DCL!

So I uploaded pics to Flickr, but they don't give the right kind of code to work here. :headache: Going to try another site. Did I mention how much I hate technology?

So other than photobucket, what does everybody else use to get pictures posted on here? I don't know how to do it without photobucket. Did I mention I'm severely technologically challenged? ;)

:, I really feel like both Bubba and I wasted a weeks worth of vacation time.

I think you just saved many of us some hard earned money. We've thought many times that we'd take a cheaper vacation than DCL and jump on that ship... thanks for saving us. I am the cheapest person on earth, so that kind of thing would just send me off into the ocean.

Hi All,

We're back from a great day at the track. Wilson took 4th place, so not the greatest in standing, but it was a wonderful day and we are all happy.

My mom, my sister & her boys, her 2 boys (21 & 23), and another nephew (30) came out to see the little dude race, along with a friend of Willie's from little league/our neighborhood. Wilson was in pig heaven with a huge cheering section.

He qualified 1st pole postion, then was bumped down to 3rd in the heat, then dropped one more spot during the main, but as I said he and all of us are very happy with a great day.

We celebrated Wilson's 1/2 bday and my mom turned 81 today!!! Seems so hard to believe that we are in the 3rd year without my dad :sad1: Always sad of course that he isn't here sharing the family time. I like to think he is here watching over us, just not able to "see" him.

It was really hot up there, 95 or more, so we are wiped out and I'm next in line for my shower and an early night since school starts tomorrow

I'll catch up a bit later.

Hope you all had a great weekend too :dance3:

:grouphug: :grouphug:

My trip report........

Carnival S U C K S !!!!!!!!

Well, that said it all!

Jimmy Paige is looking a bit old too . . .

Well, since I saw him in 1977 with Led Zepplin... he seemed old to me then!

You know, I just glanced at Tyler's leg and it dawned on me that the bruise I was seeing is the same one that was there on the cruise. To make sure, I looked at a couple cruise pictures, and sure enough, it's the same bruise. I remember he got it shortly before the cruise and of course, he didn't remember how it happened, but it's strange to still be there 3 months later and not faded at all. It used to be about a 50 cent coin sized bump too, but now the bump is almost down, but the bruise is just as purple. I've never heard of one lasting so long. He must have really whacked into something super hard.
Some bruises, especially ones that have a bump with them, can last quite awhile (few months). Usually they do change in color though. I'm sure it is fine, but good you are getting it checked out. Where is our doctor Kaylee when we need her??!

We have both of those books! We have a new neighbor in the neighborhood that moved up from L.A. She was saying how crazy getting into schools were for k-grade (my second to youngest is starting) in L.A. She said they do home visits??? Wow - it made me think of you. Has school started yet??

Bubba & V - I have never tried Carnival - been on Princess, Celebrity, RCCL, NCL - but never Carnival. I had thought about trying Carnival, but now will not for sure. I'm sorry you spent so much money - at least you saw some beautiful sunsets and I'm sure you two can find fun on a funless ship!

I'm heading to Vegas twice in Sept. First - 4th-6th for a renewal of vows in the Little White Chapel. (Not our vows - friends). And then I have a conference I'm going solo to on the 18th. I was having fun and looking at some luxury car rentals in Vegas. Wouldn't it be something to rent a Maybach for a day??? http://www.benzorentacar.com/rates.htm I bet a lot of high rollers do. I was thinking THIS is what my sister should do to meet a guy. Rent one for the day, and I'm sure the guys would stumble to get to her (the car that is!).

I use Flirkr - but you said you had some problems setting up an account?

Lisa, that car is insane! Have a great time in Vegas! :thumbsup2

No, I already had an account there (Tyler's baby pictures are there) but I have no idea how to get the pictures from there to here. The codes I see just make it show up as a link and not the picture.

OK, I've spent hours trying to figure out how to put some pictures from today on here, and just can't figure it out. Going to bed because my eyes can't even see straight anymore. :headache:

Well... you can tell it's a school night...

We're all poopin out...

& Talkin about the sweet stuff...

HI MARILYN!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:
