Just a quick post while Tyler's in the bathroom, before we head to the fair. When I picked him up from his dad's, of course, stepmom stomped down the hall again to get away from me. :lmao: Dad was super nice, and told me he had great days at school, TWO DAYS IN A ROW (actually 4 because Tues and Wed were great too)!!!!!! And he's not been irritable and angry at home either while he was at his dad's!

Sounds like we found the right drug, but I'd hate to get excited prematurely.

Oh.....remember his dad telling me after 4 days of the med, "it's making him sit and gaze into space before bed" when he was trying to tell me it's making Tyler too sleepy? Well, he told me today Tyler seems to be having trouble falling asleep. I told him, "Well, he might not need as much sleep as he used to, so we might try bumping his bedtime an hour later". I told him I'll try that the days he's at my house and let him know how that goes. :thumbsup2 But he told me that's the only complaint he has and that he's really happy with what he saw this week overall. :goodvibes

It's so hard not to say, "I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!"

::yes:: Thanks for the good news about Tyler!!

Good for you keeping that "I told you so" to yourself!

I don't get step-mom  Doesn't she want Tyler to succeed and be the happy boy all the time?

Jan

You guys are boring  There hasn't been a post in 2 hours :scared1: I remember the days when I couldn't even go to the bathroom without missing something......or at least Chocolate Guy making fun of me because I was pages behind. What happened to that? I guess V from FL was right, I do need a chat room. I expect to come on here and talk to people, not wait days for a reply. Where is Marilyn? Oh and sorry Marilyn, I forgot to check in yesterday.

I did the refresh thing for a while but then I gave up....except, that must be a lie because I just did it and you replied :lmao: I was cooking and decided to check back but thought no one would respond. Maybe this is a lesson. You have to post to get responses.

(laughing at Gayleen):lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, yes, I would say he did. I was at the beach house with my nephew and his girlfirend. The rest of my family was home because of work and church. After church, Daniel and Don (DH) played golf, while I drove home from the beach. It was a nice easy 3 hour drive with no traffic....doesn't usually happen when you need to drive all the way around DC. I got home and went to Costco (and laughed when my bill was $302.56, after all my coupons). By 6pm we were all home and we went to Red Robin for dinner (YUMMY) and we have been watching the REDSKINS in the Hall fo Fame game.

We almost lost Daniel when he was born (the placenta abrupted and we both almost bled to death) so he was in intensive care for several days. The very first time I got to hold him was 3 days after he was born. Don and Daniel and I watched the Hall of Fame game that day and the Redskins were in it that year too.....so this is kinda neat.....

I am so tired now....going to sleep soon, the Redskins are winning now...

Tell Daniel I said Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a nice day!:flower3:

And besides, I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you! :rotfl2:

That's right up there with "Of course I'll respect you" and "The check is in the mail"!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think I'm gonna eat the rest of Tyler's bag of cotton candy. He won't notice. I doubt he even remembers he had some left. ;)

I WOULD NOTICE!!!! :lmao:

I wrote a 13 page typed trip report with photos--some Tom's and some from you all! I set it to a few people who asked for it and a few who did not. I told them if they did not want to read it, that was OK, I could not remember who wanted it. :rotfl:

Got some nice feedback from those who wanted to see it and some of those who had not asked. Many said they had no idea it would be such an interesting trip

They just don't KNOW Disney! ::yes::

Jan :)

Jan... I sent everyone a link to Planky... they all want to send me to the funny farm!!! :lmao:

I actually turned the computer( ) off and watched a whole programme on tv - 2 hours!!! More often than not I am on here and watching tv in the evenings but I thought as things are quieter here these days I had better find some other form of entertainment and focus on it!!!:lmao: :lmao:

I did pop on during the breaks though.

I don't know about stepmom, but here's a different perspective. She's often more the caregiver than his dad, because his dad doesn't get home from work until close to 7, so she's the one who picks him up from school, and on Saturdays he often goes fishing or has things he "has" to get done. So it's probably difficult for her to spend so much time with Tyler, yet have no part in the decisions made on his behalf. I'd imagine that's a big part of why she is the way she is.

On the other hand, she does need to realize that no matter how close she feels to Tyler, she will never have authority to make any of these decisions. She tends to forget that and oversteps her boundaries LOTS. And when I try to nicely push her back a bit, that sets her off. It's a touchy situation, so we just try to make do.

Below in blue is an email I just got from Kaylee. I just read this myself, so I have nothing more to input. I know the power of prayer works, so we have a heavy task at hand for our dear friend.

So, I(Kaylee) am writing to you from my bed after spending the entire day in ER yesterday.....not the greatest email, I know but I need all good energy I can get. So I lost my eyesight in my L eye on Sat am (was kind of going away on F, but I ignored it). We went to an eye doc yesterday and the look on his face said it all, so we went straight to an ER where my friend had already spoken to the opthamologist on call. Well, after 7 hours there I let after a 1gm IV of prednisone and the diagnosis of MS. I haven't accepted that diagnosis yet and I have lots of docs appts starting at 7am on Monday. So far my vision is no better and it is the worst feeling in the world. Thankfully my mom is being great....which is helpful to Scott since he is having a hard time with this all...... I won't be getting on the boards anytime soon....but if you want to post something Nan asking for pixie dust and prayers that would be ok with me.....that list is great for helping people get better.

I'll be in touch with her and will keep you all posted on whatever the news is.

Nan

I just wanted to bump this up for folk who don't go back and read past posts.

I am not sure if this is working?

Oh my gosh, this is great! Is Nero easy to use? I'd never heard of it before you told us about it. I love your slide shows! Can't wait to see the rest! :goodvibes

By the way, you have an upside down photo in day 2 and one on PC crossing day too.

May I borrow the picture of Castaway Cay from up above during parasailing? I'd love to add that to my pictures of CC if you don't mind. Such a wonderful view!

Holy cow, I'm about to go out of my mind with boredom! Thank goodness my boss will be back tomorrow and he'll be working double time to make up for missing today, so I definitely won't be bored tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Holly... twiddle thumbs... remember... excercise...

That would be annoying to me and I probably would stop helping out in the other ways, especially when dad wanted to go fishing. He should be taking Tyler. John takes Ethan.

Yeah, it's amazing that somebody would actually pay me to surf the internet all day. :rotfl2: I've been on classmates.com, seeing everybody who's coming to the 20-year reunion this Saturday. I wasn't going to go, but people kept finding me and asking if I'd reconsider. OK, not sure why they want to see me so badly, but I caved. I figure it will be fun to see how many cute jocks from back then are now fat and bald! :rotfl: So I've been checking out everybody's pictures to see what they look like. Most of the people who said yes on the RSVP list are ones I don't even remember, but I'm sure my memory will be jogged once I get there.
