A bit of good news...Harry's last CT scan was stable. This should mean that he doesn't need another one scheduled until after DD's Dream wedding. We will find out for sure at his doctor appointment on May 9th.

I see that Vicki and Greg are cruising with the Thieves. Could someone please say "hello" to them for me? Vicki was very supportive when Harry was first diagnosed with cancer and I have not been in touch with her since the PC repo. I would appreciate it.

Gotta go out shopping... find something to have for Easter... we're thinking of rolled stuffed chicken. I've been going through a tough time and mom wants to make something I like. I wasn't really into a roast and lasagna is my fave, but tomatoes hate me right now... so I've decided to go with the Chicken because of leftovers and besides... Jack's is closed on Easter...

(she gave me 20 minutes to finish up on the computer and I'm afraid I'm up to about minute 18... )

We had turkey this evening and will eat the rest on Sunday. Tomorrow will be pizza for John and pasta for me!!

I think lamb is the traditional meal here, but turkey has become very popular at Easter as well as Christmas.

Hello all!!

I am struggling to stay awake!!! I can't wait for tomorrow....not to have to wake up to an alarm!! I plan to shut the ringer off the phone & just sleep.

Will need to finish the so that I can start to pack, and need to decide if I when I want to mow the lawn next (well, not WANT but NEED). I know if needs to be done before my travels.

I ended up not even turning on the computer at home last night. went to bed at 1015pm too.

How is everyone today?

Ugggh, I can't imagine having to mow already! YUCK!!!!!

For my dad's family, ham is the traditional Easter dinner. Dinner and an egg hunt for the kids (or at least I feel it should be for the kids, I'm the only adult who isn't knocking kids over to find eggs ) Tyler's and my Easter tradition is the pancake breakfast served at church after Sunday's service. Well, that is, every other Easter for Tyler, the Easters he's not with his dad. I hate having to alternate holidays, but of course it's the fair thing to do. I'm sure his dad hates it too. It's just the way it is. But the GOOD NEWS is that his dad has finally agreed to bring him to tomorrow night's Easter vigil service at church, which Tyler loves attending. He's constantly asking his dad to bring him to church events and just regular services when he's at his dad's, but dad always says he'd rather not, but will occasionally tell me I can pick him up to take him. Tyler's THRILLED that dad is finally coming. For the first time ever! (Of course, I'm not thrilled about having to be with dad & stepmom, but am very happy for Tyler's excitement, happy they're doing this for him).

Our office closed at noon today, so I was able to get home for a nice 4 hour nap afterwards. I suppose I should get moving and figure out what I want for supper, head to the store to get some eye drops for some annoyance going on with my eye, and clean the guinea pig cage. Hopefully to bed early so I can be full of energy to clean, clean, clean all day tomorrow. DESPERATELY need to do this before Tyler's birthday party shortly after vacation.

I'm cleaning out my fridge and pantry before I leave...looks like potatoes and broccoli tonight followed by a yogurt

I have to work tomorrow...

Where is everyone today?

I have gone for a walk with Sara and Trevor, visited my friend who just had surgery, visited my mom and dad (gave my mom her Mother's Day card and gift early as I'll be in Alaska!) and called my brother who is having minor surgery while I'm away. Then I finally finished packing...except for the last minute things. I have to work tomorrow, then it's all about vacation

Thanks again, everyone! Hoping Harry can stay stable for many years before more treatment is needed. I must say that it doesn't get any easier to handle. Our anxiety level is through the roof as CT scan time approaches. Harry tries to act like it doesn't bother him. I'm sure he just doesn't want to add to my anxiety.

As for Easter dinner I was thinking of throwing together Pizza Stew in the crock pot. The best of both worlds...pasta that tastes like pizza. Pizza or pasta is good anytime.
