At the library - had to pay a FINE to get on the :surfweb: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

At least now I'm up to date...

Holly....

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!

AND IT'S STICKING TOO!!! :scared: :scared: :scared:

But it's supposed to be back to the 60's by the end of the week.

Enjoy the snow - till the weekend anyway!!

Sorry about the computer. Hope you get sorted soon!!!

How are you doing Michelle?

& just to make it official...

Mom and I aren't going to be making Chicago for Thanksgiving. I've spent too much time in pain the last couple of weeks and I tried other alternatives for travel, such as Amtrak and flying and one was booked out and flights were :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

So... we've decided to stay home, watch the Macy's day parade and eat an entire apple pie by myself... (mom's decided on pumpkin...)

You partly answered my question here. Is the pain any better now?

Sorry you aren't going to be able to make the gathering. I think a whole apple pie is quite a good substitute though!!:lmao: Don't forget the a la mode though!!

a la mode works!!!

Pain is just pain... :headache: It's all stress and I'm hoping for an update later today...

Marilyn... while I'm gone... I'm counting on you to keep the thread up to date...

So... in that light... make sure you tell yourself goodmorning and good evening every day... remember all birthdays... and it's up to you to do the Dis Xmas card list cause apparently it got eaten up in the hard drive of my computer... :flower3:

Well I hope something can be done for you, it is about time.

No good leaving me to be in charge of a thread!!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Had my 3rd 5k this past Saturday....my goal was to finish in 59 minutes.....I finished in 52:40!!! I was floored!

It helped alot that there were less people out & about so we had less slowing down to get around people. We were able to walk at a steady pace.

My goal for the Turkey Trot 8k is to finish :lmao::rotfl: (not locking myself into a time).
Monica, I'm relieved that you won't be in a rush! I'm afraid of not finishing, but everybody assures me that I can. :thumbsup2

Thanks! :rotfl:

I don't know if I'd have used the word crapped.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

But it's supposed to be back to the 60's by the end of the week.

Trying to get myself on a laptop very soon... I have to take up other hobbies now, like knitting, reading by candlelight and cleaning up the homestead... I imagine milking the cows and sheering the sheep will come next...
We hardly ever get much snow here. :headache: We're having temps in the high 60s all week.

Michelle, sorry you can't make Chicago! :sad1: I don't know if this will help, but would it help if you & your mom can somehow make it as far as MI and then you can ride the rest of the way with me and my mom? Think you can drive as far as MI and ride the rest of the way is what I was trying to say? I doubt that would help any, but just putting it out there.

So, I had NO idea when I booked the AK cruise that final payment would be 12/23. :headache: I was counting on paying for both cruises with my Fed income tax check. The LA to Vancouver one is fine because it’s due 2/1 and I’ll get the tax check just before that, so it looks like we’ll only be doing that leg and dropping AK. There’s no way I can come up with over $2K in just 3 paydays. BUT……..1/2 of the original trip is much preferable to NONE, so I’m fine with it. Sadly “Alaska” has been a code word in school for Tyler’s teacher to try to help him regain control of himself, but he’ll get over it quickly. He’s got a long life ahead of him to make his way to AK sometime. :goodvibes I look at it this way: That’s ½ the amount of cold-weather clothes we need to pack. :thumbsup2

Congrats Monica, way to go :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I'm running a different kind of marathon...13 days down...2 more to go before a day off. I was supposed to be off tomorrow, but now they've called for a conference call so I'll be going in...:headache:

Hi Holly! I've been wondering where you've been  Sorry you might have to cancel the second leg...but maybe a winning lotto ticket between now and final payment time :wizard: I'm glad you can still keep the LA/Vancouver though :thumbsup2

Holly are you sure about the due date. I would think that if the due date for the first cruise is not till feb that the due date for the second leg would be due 75 days out from that sail date.

I'm booked on DCL Holly is thru an agent and my Alaksa part is saying due 1/3/11 and my repo is Due February 11, 2011

they had funky dates for the EBTA too - 120 days in advance I think

glad this was discussed I need to calendar these days and figure out if I'm doing Alaska and who is on the repo with me...

Holly, I booked through a travel agent and my final payment date is Feb 10th. DCL says if I want to book I must be paid in full by the end of Dec and early Jan for each respective cruise. So if I don't book anything, I have more time to pay it off. If your travel agent doesn't allow you to do that....get another travel agent and you can still go. Monica will book it for you. You shouldn't cancel just because your agent wants you to pay it off earlier. Just something to consider.

I appreciate it greatly...:hug::hug: waiting to see how things work out here - It's stress that's getting me and I'm taking it all on my legs. I seem to clench all my muscles in my sleep and have tons of spasms - so long distance is out. Ian did tell me if I call on Wednesday and tell him I'm showing up on thursday that I can still come. I offered to eat out back with Mrs F. with a folding chair and a TV table...;)

check with DCL and see what their dats are. I'd also check with Monica and see if she can do something about it. Maybe you can rebook it when you get paid... don't give up... I haven't!!! :thumbsup2

Day 2 of no computer. It's VERY quiet at home. :rotfl:

I'm thinking of actually cleaning major things now that I have time.

We MAY have to make a trip to Jersey later this week. My SIL's brother passed away yesterday (sirosis of the liver) but we don't know what they are going to do for a memorial.

Hey Monica... when you get the chance... can you please send Planky home??? I miss the little bugger... :thumbsup2

Well, they're gonna close down soon and I have to go skim FB...

Will check in again soon!!!

Marilyn... I think there's a few here who have the Dis Xmas list for you to send out so if you want... Ask around... :flower3: :flower3:

& Monica... miss our chats... It's lonely in the office now...

We miss you Shell....get that computer fixed quickly.

I have the Christmas list from last year. I could send it to everyone. Marilyn, not to worry.....I've got you covered. I guess I should send it out before I go to Chicago.
