Thanks for all the good wishes!

I use eyedrops regularly, but apparently it hasn't been enough, so I'll be increasing that.

Found a small lump on my moms neck while treating a rash that wouldnt go away. The jerk dermatolagist spouts off right away..." It's cancer. I'll take a biopsy anyway just to be sure. Ill have your results in two weeks." So of course my mom is scared to death. The lump was in one of her lymphnodes. Very common kind of cancer. This was last week. She called today and talked to the nurse and this is what she posted on facebook......

"I'm so excited! Today is a day to celebrate. I got news that my biopsy came back negative, non malignant! Thank each and every one of you for all the prayers, good thoughts and words of encouragement! It's times like this that you find out who your friends really are and I feel so fortunate to have all of you in my lif...e! I felt the love, for sure! Praise the Lord! Thank you all!"

Pheww!!! What an a.s.s that doctor was!!! You dont just throw the "C" word out there like that!!!:confused3

Well that is such good news. That doctor needs telling strongly - quite the wrong way to approach something like that.

Yay :cool1: Are ya sure you don't want to book the B2B :goodvibes

Kathe, I think I'll be booking the 11/6/11 Dream 4 day while I'm on the ship AND probably the 11/10 3 day for a B2B over my birthday. That trip will be all about the ship and two visits to CC. Haven't decided on Cat for the room. I'd normally just do an inside if traveling solo, but I KNOW someone will be coming with me, so I probably should just reserve a verandah for two, eh?

....back to work....

.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm really not a fan of the itineraries on the 3 and 4 day cruises :guilty: I think I'll be booking another dummy date to use in 2012, hopefully on one of the new ships for a 7 day. You'll be celebrating another birthday that year too, right ;) Maybe I'll celebrate mine too:goodvibes

Bubba-I'm so glad your mom is okay  What a lousy Dr though  Sorry you all had to go through this.

My brother found out after a routine check-up that he has prostate cancer. Very early stages, he went through surgery yesterday and is doing well :goodvibes I've had a sore throat for a number of days now so couldn't go to the hospital to visit him,but I did get to talk to him. He will be home by the weekend so I will visit him once he's settled in and comfortable. Scary for him, but he is in excellent health otherwise so prognosis is excellent!

I do have very sad news. I've shared a little bit over the last couple of years about Micah, who is a work friend's grandson . He had cancer, went through chemo and was cancer free for almost a year. His parent's just recently found out he had cancer again. I know I mentioned it here already, but any prayers would be appreciated. The dr's have started him on chemo again, and they may be able to do surgery...but they need a miracle. His family has been told he is terminal. He just celebrated his 8th birthday :sad1:

I figure I can always move the Dream b2b to the Fantasy when it becomes available if I want to. And, with two reservations, I could even get a second cabin with the discount/OBC and put some friends in there.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Paul had his surgery a little while after our Tortola cruise and is doing great! His was also caught at very early stages, thank goodness.

Bubba, don't you just want to go over and SMACK that doctor? Hey...where's Nan when we need her?

I've racked up about $100 take home in overtime already this week...there's a few more drinks of the day, eh? pirate: Plus I can match that by going in on Saturday and getting my filing caught up and 2010 files built. :thumbsup2 Then, I'll still have Sunday & Monday for chores and fun!

Well, I'm going to mosey over to facebook, haven't checked in there in a couple of days.

That is so very sad about Micah. I will be praying for him and his family, and for your brother too.
