I hope everyone is going to have a wonderful Easter (Passover...)....

Daniel came home for the weekend and I told him about the Wonder cruise. As much as I have taken kids out of school for vacations, I can't take him out of college..so I hope the trip is not until May....if it is Feb or March....it may just be me....maybe I will be able to talk a girlfriend into going with me.

I'm all caught up reading the thread and this is a busy place :cool1:

So far I'm enjoying WW and its making me think more about what I'm eating. I weighed in yesterday and had lost 7.1lbs :cool1: I know the first week is usually the biggest loss, so I'm not expecting as big a number next week; but it definitely felt good. That's the lowest weight I've recorded in the WiiFit since we bought it last July. Just had to share my happy news. Now to stick with it!

Congratulations, Shannon on a great first week! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: I've never lost more than 2lbs in any week except one just a couple of weeks ago, and then I gained half of that back the next week. It's been a pretty slow go for me, but it's been pretty steady, so I'm not complaining!

btw, pray for me. We are having Paul's parents and his brother and 2 nephews (his wife and other kid are in Tahoe for the week) over tomorrow. I told Paul to invite Mom & Dad (figuring they wouldn't come, they never do) and it turned into the whole stinking family. Off to help with the setting up of the table(s)...
You can do it Nan, we all know you'll get through the day somehow. Make sure you have a nice stiff drink ready for when everybody leaves. Or maybe you should drink all day! ;)

I'll report mine later. I have to go to the store. Jon's brother just dropped off his daughter for the night and didn't bring an Easter basket

Can't you give her one of the 17 you already have????:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I grew up with hamsters and gerbils. Shannon and I have had hamsters and we currently have a chilean version called a Degu (actually we have two).

The biggest issue with rodents is cleaning up their cage when you are gone on vacation. Yes they hoarde, but when you clean their cage that hoarde is gone. So you need someone to come over and feed them regularly - which for us is usually the biggest hassle about vacationing.
Probably our neighbors across the street would do that since we check on their cat every day when they're on vacation. :thumbsup2

Happy Easter. I hope it is hot enough and not as hot as it was :lmao:

Yep, Lisa, this is one of my biggest frustrations. I SO wish I had discovered Disney cruising when my kids were younger. If we can't somehow manage to get one in this summer (and that looks REALLY slim), we may never get another chance with all 4 of us again. Erik will be taking classes at the local community college starting this Fall, then the following year he will probably be at whatever college he ends up at. Before he's done Alison will start and by the time she's done he'll probably be so established in his life he won't have time to go with us again.

So for everyone who still has little ones, grab those opportunities and take them NOW! (I figure they can get loans for college; I'd rather use the $$ to build memories!)

WOW, Shannon, that's GREAT! Way to go! :woohoo: Congrats!

Ya except I won't get them until tomorrow and they will have a whole bunch of candy and most of my kid's are toys. I just went to the dollar store. It is a block form my house. I just don't get how someone wouldn't want to wake up with their kids on Easter when they are three years old. You don't get those years back, as we all know.

Well that's it.....we'll all be going thru the Panama Canal and Ian and Sukie, Jackie, Nan and Monica will all be in Alaska.

We'll send post cards to each other. Ours will be hot and yours will be cold.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

We will have t-shirts... they will have parkas...

Animal pee for sure!:thumbsup2 Just seems to be more concentrated and stronger aroma.

They don't drink beer.

Hi Jackie,

Ian, go for the walk.

Jackie, do your taxes!

I would say private yacht too.:woohoo::woohoo:

Yes Mom......

& Private Yacht?????? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

You should have played the games :lmao: I hope the decorating is fun. I feel like we don't have much Easter stuff to do since we did it all last week. I did spend $70.00 on their baskets and there is only one candy in there.

A "healthy" basket?

Number one don't complain about them going to college :lmao: number 2 I'm sure they'll go anywhere with mom and dad if you are paying :thumbsup2

Okay, this makes me want to cry. (The 2 glasses ofwine have nothing to do with it!)

I can't IMAGINE not wanting to be with my babies (even though one of them is 17 years old!!!!) on ANY holiday. Sigh....

Some people shouldn't be parents....

Tyler's snoring, so I'd better go hide Easter eggs while I know he's sound asleep. Have to be extra sneaky this year because he asked me if the Easter bunny is just parents. I told him no, of course not. He asked "Are you sure? Because it wouldn't be right for you to lie to me." He told me he's sure his Easter basket at his dad's came from his dad because the candy in it is the same as some open bags of candy in the basement. :headache: So I told him, "You're probably right. Your dad knows you won't be at his house on Easter, so he just wanted to make sure you still had an Easter basket at his house". Tyler bought it and now he thinks his dad is sooooo thoughtful. :rotfl2: I'll have to be sure to let dad know what I told Tyler for when Tyler tells him what I said.

So.....we have eggs he brought from his dad's that he decorated today for the Easter bunny to hide for him to find in the morning. BUT......when Tyler finds those, he won't recognize the 15 plastic fillable eggs that will have mysteriously appeared that only the Easter bunny could have brought since we certainly don't have any like that in our house. (They're in my trunk!) :rotfl2:
