Go early in the morning... I hear the trampling is not as bad... just watch out for those mice on board... they show up at strange times....

Hey Deb... do you get weird dreams when you take the vicodin??? I do... :sad2:

Nope, I usually don't remember my dreams anymore. I used to have vivid ones when I was younger and remembered them all the time. But not anymore. Not even on drugs. :confused3 :confused3

That's our girl!!! pirate: pirate: pirate:

I would soooooooo love to be adopted by Woody & Mrs Woody!

We should do a Woody meet on the ship - he can tell us all about his travels & show us pics (note to Woody - put pics on discs & bring the laptop for show & tell) :goodvibes

Hi Monica.....this is an excellent idea. We should all do this together....a Woody show and tell about all of his travels....with pictures. Kewl!:woohoo:

No....actually I think the proper term is that he would be tweeting on Twitter.

Hey, I didn't make this stuff up. That's what they call it.

Yes you are correct.

But what's this "they"??? Join Twitter and be Ian's friend and you can join in all the fun!!! Then you can be part of the "they"!! It'll be an "us".

:wave2: everyone!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Here is what I've been doing for the last 2 days at work (in between phone calls).....

http://monicasadventures2003-2006.blogspot.com/2009/03/italy-march-24-april-3-2003.html

I posted my very 1st tr - my trip to Italy in 2003. Next will be Australia.

Please only read it if you want to....no pressure at all. There are no pics for the Italy trip as it stands right now (this was the last trip prior to having a digital camera).

Going to check this out right now. Back in awhile....

Shannon's on the phone with Gaylean right now planning the Dismeet. Apparently the 21st at around 3pmish at some Dave's place with games and drinks that is a Bar but you can take kids (crazy Californians) and is only a few minutes from Disneyland.

I'll let Gaylean or Bubba or Venetia or someone else make less mud out of that hazy description. And Gaylean listed off a bunch of people who are going to be there. Guess that means we are now officially invited. ;) Jsut not sure if I'll know how to get there!! LOL

2 weeks from tomorrow I'll be at Epcot seeing Davy Jones (of The Monkees, not the pirate: )

:cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2: :yay:

no tweeting or twittering for me.....I have enough to keep track of as it is. (sorry boys)

I want to be his luggage!!!

I don't think there's anyplace in this entire world that Woody and Mrs. Woody have not been to. Literally. I want to pick their brains and hear stories all night long.

Oh Woody and Mrs. Woody.....would you like to linkie dining together on the Tortola cruise???? We're doing late seating.:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I'm wondering about Antarctica... but I bet he's done it...

:wave2: everyone!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Yea... more reading!!!

EEK!! Poor Bubba......he's going to be so jealous.

It's that two timing thing again....Ian just can't help himself. It's an addiction.
:guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

Sorry Bubba... you have competition... blame it on Twitter... :guilty:

Holly - sorry work's been so boring lately.

Deb - what did the wound dr say about the legs? Still doing better?

Ken & Shannon - wow - the trip is right around the corner!

Ian & Sukie -

Nan - hope you got some good scrapping done :)

Michelle - tell Mom that I'd love to keep traveling w/ her

Deborah - I was taught how to drive on a stick shift/manual car - my dad also thought that I should know how to drive a stick shift in case of an emergency. I can still drive one now, but have an automatic due to my 2 knee surgeries (left knee so it's my shifting leg).

Monica... I will tell the Queen Mum that she has no choice than to come and travel...

I think we need a slide show... powerpoint???

Hi Holly.....yes the doctor is very happy that the swelling is down so much and the leaking is much less. Now he's working on getting rid of it for good. I have to do epsom salt soaks. He even said, put a solution in a spray bottle and get washclothes. Soak them with the spray and lay directly on the wounds. Keep them wet. How hard is that going to be for me to do laying on my stomach and unable to reach the back of my calves. We'll just have to soak them more in the tub. Leg care is getting to be a full time job. I still don't know if they're going to be healed enough to keep them unwrapped and able to swim on the Tortola cruise. I know that's six months away....but this is a very slow process. After almost two years.....I'm getting real tired of all this.

Anything to get your leg better!!! Take care of yourself!!!

I keep thinking the same thing. I remember that she was going away for two weeks but I don't remember when she left. It feels like it's been at least four weeks since she's been missing. I miss her a lot.

She went the weekend I went away... so she's due back this weekend... (did that make sense...)

You heard that Peter Tork was diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing surgery for it? Apparently it hasn't spread or anything so they are expecting a full recovery. (The things you learn listening to the radio)

Heard about it today too.

Holly - what's your favorite color???

Blue... but I'm not sure what Holly's is...

Well Deb... you PM him and tell him we want to see them... I can't do it... as I'm not ON the cruise...(yet) and besides...he still owes me postcards from every place he goes to... and I'm still waiting... ;)

Hey... no :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

How you doing today, Michelle???

Hey Monica...

Busy day... I finally got GE to call me back (you would think it would be easy since they are right here in Schenectady... I thought I'd have to go stand outside their offices with signs telling them to call me back...) and I got the info I need... 300 milllion gallons per day clean...

Other than that... I'm hungry... I always seem to want a cheeseburger on Fridays in Lent... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: But every nun I ever had told me I'd burn in you know where...

& you?

That sounds good. I'll also have a Tom Tom GPSr with me. So as long as Gaylean gets us the address before we leave we'll have an additional back up! :thumbsup2

What a pain this all must be. I can only imagine how sick and tired of this you must be. But you're doing all the right things now and it's slowly working! Way to go!

An elderly Italian man lay dying in his bed. While suffering the agonies of impending death, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite ravioli wafting up the stairs.
He gathered his remaining strength, and lifted himself from the bed.
Gripping the railing with both hands, he crawled downstairs.
When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he leaned against the door frame, gazing into the kitchen, where if not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven, for there, spread out upon waxed paper on the kitchen table were hundreds of his favorite ravioli.

image0011.jpg

Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of love from his wife of sixty years, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man?
He threw himself towards the table, landing on his knees in a crumpled posture.
His parched lips parted, the wondrous taste of the ravioli was already in his mouth.
With a trembling hand he reached up to the edge of the table, when suddenly he was smacked with a wooden spoon by his wife.
"Don't touch!" she said.
"Those are for the funeral."
