OK, I'm too lazy to get my yearbook and scan a photo. As a bigger shock, I suppose I could have scanned a photo with my last girlfriend in 1972.

But, here is a picture of me in June 1974, a year after I graduated high school:

And here's one you've seen before from about 1975-ish:

And finally, Sukie, 21 years ago!

Ian, you were such a cutie, but in that middle photo, I'm afraid those shorts look like they might hurt your "package" a bit! :rotfl2: Ouch! :rotfl:

This is us at Jon's graduation from the police academy

Holly where did you get a pink vacuum? do they have purple???

I got it at Wal-mart. No purple (that would have been my first choice), just pink ones and turquoise ones. Actually, the pink one is called coral, and it's a dark pink, but to me, pink is pink. :thumbsup2 Oh, it's just a Dirt Devil, so you should be able to find them anywhere. Dirt Devil Featherlight Bagless Upright. It's not "feather light" and it's much louder than any vac I've ever had, but I still love it. I knew my old one was crappy, but just didn't realize how much so until the new one.

I'm so mad that Desperate Housewives isn't on!

Well, I guess I'll spend time instead uploading video from last night to Photobucket. Each clip is short, so I told Tyler I'd try to combine them into one so we don't have to click each one to play. :thumbsup2

Last night was AMAZING...

We of course knew that Wilson was getting his season trophy for 2nd place, but then he one a draw for a set of race tires :thumbsup2 and the he won....

Yaaaaaa Speed Racer :car:

okay, last bit about last night. There was an award created last night for a group of 4 boys (just the next level up from Willie) in cadets for driver development. The cadet class of 9-12 year olds was realy exciting to watch this year, lots of good racing. So those boys got there plaques and then there was more raffle prizes and then Wilson's award was presented. Willie thought he was getting an award for just Kid Karts, so he was happy, but not that impressed. He didn't realize until we got the car that he one the award out of all the kids 16 and under at the track. All the older boys that he thinks are so good and cool, he beat. It was very humbling for Paul and I to have him reconized for all his efforts last year. He was the only kid at the track that opted to race in both club and IKF. A few of the other boys did one IKF and then quit. Willie really did a great job last year not only coming in 2nd in his club but also 2nd in Northern CA. The boy that one 1 place in club raced one IKF race and didn't do well, so he just quit. It really shows that Willie could compete will locals at their track all around Northern CA and come in 2nd over all. Okay Big soap box I know. But I'm so proud of him and the hard work from last year. I just hope as he goes forward in his new season (with an extra 25MPH) that all will go well and safe.

Go Speed :car:

Congrats to Wilson!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I just love his proud smile, and reading the great news as told by his proud momma :thumbsup2

Lisa, I don't know much about kids, but that is a very high fever, for either a child or an adult. I'm sure people have said this, but I would get her to a doctor, just to be on the safe side.

I have talked to the doctor and her fever was still 103.5. The doc asked what kind of thermometer I was using....and I told her oral mercury....she said "your kidding right?"....she said no one has said that to her for over a year....??? Am I that backwards?? She said it is very accurate...just I need to add a degree to an oral temp!! :crazy2: :crazy2: :scared: :scared: :scared: We just never (well hardly ever) get sick...

I washed her down again and she had a dose of Tylenol and it was 102 degrees and now she is asleep

They gave me an hour and if her fever was not down to 102 to take her to the hospital.

So now what do I do?? She refuses to go.....YUCK....At least she stopped shivering.....

We go to watch the commercials and pee during the game... :rotfl:

Puttin your initials in the snow again???

Bud usually has the best commercials....bubba and v, love the pics, you guys are too cute!

morning all, I haven't slept much so I have been up since 3, did the dishes, a load of laundry and straightened up a bit. I am taking the dogs to the groomers tomorrow and going to the mall to shop for me for a change!

Hope you had fun V... and spent some of Johns money...

Well enjoy your shopping!!! When I get annoyed with John I go out and spend his money!!!
:lmao:

Me too... spend YOUR John's money... (I just like spending other people's money...)

Soooo... I see you're all as quiet as church mice early on Sunday mornings! What's the matter? You North Americans not up yet?

I'm about to leave for my WW meetings.

Sukie told me last night that his hip was hurting a bit, which was where I ran into him. However, he said it was not hurting as much as when he fell down on our postage stamp sized patio.

(Note to self - You must accelerate more next time backing out of the garage)

So I felt guilty all night. I mean he already uses a cane.

Actually, since he had his nasal surgery, he uses the cane much less. We think that the whole condition had been impacting his balance.

Well, I'm off to expound to my 3 meeting how their lives will be so much improved through the effective use of liquids. I can't wait.

(Some meeting topics I find difficult to talk about.)

Be very careful... he may sue... ;)

Yup, I've been learning all that stuff too because I've been looking and comparing for quite a while. :thumbsup2 I'm just patiently waiting for the right sale. Target had some really nice ones on sale, a 42-inch was a great price, Sony I think, but the sale ended yesterday and I've still not fully decided. I'll know it when I see it. Sales come and go, more sales will be going on somewhere every week. I'm in no hurry, just waiting for the right one to jump out at me and say, "Take me, I'm yours!" :goodvibes

Sort of like picking a husband, huh???

Inspired by Bubba and V....post your High School picture!

Oh.....she was sooooooo young!

Hey Ian... it's that Jackie Woman again...

OK, Tyler's getting weird on me. He's playing with pirate Legos, then just sits up and turns around behind him and stares for a few seconds. The he looks at me and says, "Mom, I just felt something go by me." I asked him "How can you feel something go by yo?" He told me he saw a dark shadow go past from the living room into the kitchen. I told him he's full of bologna! :rotfl2: Crazy kid.

OK, off to fix lunch!

He's our resident clairvoyant...

Here is one of us

Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone....I finally feel up to being awake.....was sick again. I went to the wound doctor appointment this week....I started with a half of a vicoden before the appointment and was in a LOT of pain from the visit. I kept taking more vicoden. I couldn't stay awake and when I did wake up I felt very sick....nauseous and dizzy....so I went back to sleep. Today I'm starting to feel like a person again and I have not had any vicoden since yesterday afternoon. The legs still hurt but it's bearable pain. Michelle I know you can relate.

The wound doctor didn't put me in the hospital...thank all goodness. They cultured both legs and will phone in an antibiotic when they get the results. I have to lie flat...no more elevating...it's not enough. I have to stay lieing down for as long as possible every day. I have a hard time doing this because of sinus and back problems....but since the legs are worse and need the attention now, I just have to let the sinus and back bother me and just suck it up. So far I have only managed two hours a day at two separate intervals....not good enough.

The doctor insists that I get the edema swelling down so that it will stop leaking so that I don't get infections. That's the key. The only way for me to do it is to lie flat. I'm going to try to lie down for the whole game while watching the superbowl later. Wish me luck.

I also have to wet a wash cloth with epson salt and lie it on my legs on top of the wounds directly and keep the cloth damp to soak out the water in the legs. We haven't started doing that yet because the legs hurt too much so far. We'll start that during the week....maybe in a day or so when they don't hurt as much anymore.

I have to do it and make it work. The alternatives are worse.

Deb , good luck with this, I know you'll try hard. I can't believe you've had to endure this for so long, but hoping we all hear that it's finally cleared up for you by the time we cruise together

Lisa, poor Gretchen, and hugs for you too, it's so hard to watch your kids suffering :grouphug: Michelle, and everyone else is right, though! Take her in to be seen, even if the fever is coming down, if it is strep she will need something stronger than you're giving her to get better, and the sooner she starts treatment, the sooner she will feel better

He asked me if we are taking them to school tomorrow for sharing. He is really excited about it. The hard thing is that none of his friends at school get it. They think he sits on a track and drives around in circles (or ovals) I'm hoping to take a video to school and the throphy to share with his class. He also talked last night about writing a letter to Lewis Hamilton, who one Formula One this season, as the youngest driver in history at age 22. Hamilton starting his racing career at the age of 8 in go karts:drive:
