Good morning dear friends - hope everyone is staying warm (or cool as the case may be) and that those of you w/ illnesses are getting better

Not sure if I told you guys this or not but my dad is finally starting treatment for the prostate cancer. He's doing the radiation that will be done every day M-F for 2 months. He's already been permanently tatooed (for the lining up of the equipment) and is going in tomorrow to find out when he actually starts w/ the treatment (I think he's hoping for next week). He has decided that he wants to try to go on the Baltic cruise w/ me as 2 friends bailed on me. I'm ok w/ going alone, and have told him that I don't want him to rush anything & that his health is his nbr 1 priority...but he's interested in where the cruise goes & can't really see himself doing this cruise for the amount of $ it cost so he wants to try to go.

Prayers for him & Mom would be appreciated

Forgot to mention (at least I THINK I forgot)....Ann & Albert have offered to take me from Heathrow to Dover AND it looks like I'll be spending a good part of that Monday with Karen (custardtart) from the Tortola cruise (and 1st Baltic).

Way to go on the loss. I know you can keep up the great work. I know it's not easy by any means, but just take it day by day. I'm trying to take it hour by hour.

Bubba and Tink, your Mii's dropped in today!!!! Bubba, yours looks just like you. I think the men seem to manage that more than the ladies.

Nan sent 2 Mii's, but not her or Paul. One has a burger head and one a mickey on its face!!!

Lots more strangers in our Mii parade too.

My kids here in DC said the same thing. We had sleet then snow then rain then snow then cold then wind......

But once again, flushing ice cubes, wearing our PJs inside out and putting a spoon under our pillow did not work.

I kept Gretchen home anyway....one more day will be good for her. Since this is the first time she has been really sick in her whole life, it really caught her off guard.

I was up at 4:10 AM this morning! Unfortunately the stress level is very high. I'm into the last week of a project and things are blowing up and we're running out of time.

Today I have a meeting to talk about transitioning my current responsibilities, but this current project is something I have committed to wrapping up.

Now if only I fully understood the expectations of what I'm going to deliver in my new role. Unfortunately, I'm finding that my psychic abilities are not what they used to be.

What? No Marilyn? Am I here all alone?

According to Mrs Bennet, it is going to be 48f here on Saturday. Great weather for the weekend!

morning all, went to the dr. He really didn't help me, but at least not strep at this point. Now the weather has gotten colder again. I think most Floridians are not used to the back and forth, usually it is one or the other and it is really wreaking havoc on me!
