WBPC May 6th 2013 Wonder

I'd set a reminder on my phone for Feb 4th 9pm (midnight east coast time) and had completely forgotten about it until it started chiming. Anywho, we've made our Palo brunch and dinner reservations, and an hour of bicycling on Castaway Cay (not sure if we really needed an advance rez for that).

How did you get the hourly option? All ours said was All Day.... I thought that was a bit weird since they are hourly rentals.

I assume it means we can pick up the bikes any time during the day, and the clock starts ticking then.

I got excursions and Palo locked in, and was almost done with nursery when the system freaked and has locked me out. Keeps telling me "system error or someone else has logged in" and I know I'm the only one logged in. ARGH. No spa or PAT for me tonight, I guess. Or nursery during Palo brunch. :scared1:

I despise their website. I have logged out and back in on three different browsers and nothing fixes the problem.

I must really be a odd person on here. I love, love, love the Parrot Cay menu. The regular menu I like least is AP.

If you have a specified check in time, how does that work for those who are hoping to upgrade?

I would just turn up early. I don't think they really mind, it is just a way of trying to spread the crowds out. You need to be there early to try for an upgrade though I would think that the ship will be full. No harm in trying though!!

There is no ticking clock for the bikes. You can check it out at any time, and no one really checks you back in. I checked one out near Cookies Too and just left it by Serenity bay.

The 'one hour' is just a guideline, not enforced.

Hooray - got our Palo Anniversary Brunch on the 15th!

We're also doing the Chiva Bus tour in Cartegena and the Historical Villages & Tequila Making in PV - nothing caught our eye in Cabo, so will prob just explore a bit.

Picked up some cheapie fabric at WalMart, got my sewing machine out & made a swimsuit coverup - figured I'll be spending plenty of time out on the deck or our veranda! It was my first time working with light knit fabric & I think it turned out OK ... just don't look too closely at the seams! :lmao:

All checked in. Did not get Palo brunch for David's birthday on the 9th so we picked Palo dinner for that night. Chose brunch for the last day. I have no idea about the excursions.

Honestly, I've only been there the once, and the menu is so big! My friend and I shared some appies, something we love to do, can't remember which ones though... the best part was we took the cheesecake back to the hotel cause we were so full and after a dip in the hot tub we all splayed out on the floor of our room and watched the DL fireworks :goodvibes :cloud9: Now I'll always remember that when I think of Cheesecake Factory... and The Big Bang Theory of course :lmao:

That actually sounds like the perfect night! :cloud9:

Boo! That is frustrating. I hope it all comes right.

HI~A~NEIGHBOR!!!!

where are you now?

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

No longer in Virginia - we are in Sarasota, Florida!

Everything is booked and we got almost everything we wanted. Kayaking in Castaway, Mangrove tour in Cartagena, Outdoor Adventure in Vallarta, and Horseback Riding in Cabo. We wanted to zip line in Cabo but it wasn't available. Oh well.

Question for everyone who is interested in our game group. What kind of games do you want to play? Recently I have gotten back into all my geeky games and added to my collection. I think I saw someone who said their son liked to play Munchkin so I am going to add those cards to my bag and in case anyone to play. I was thinking that we should pick a central location room with a whiteboard and we can leave notes on the board of who would like to play what and when.

So far walking tour in Carteghena and pirate boar sail and snorkel adventure in PV. Was looking at Chileno Bay for Cabo but the time listed is 645 am. Ugh

I was able to get the Palo brunch I wanted, but now (of course) am second guessing.

I picked it for the Panama Canal day, thinking that it is Mother's Day and while the crossing is the whole point of our cruise, I can't imagine watching the actual crossing for all 12 hours and that a noon break would be nice.

Will we miss important things by taking a break? Is the BBQ on deck 'not to be missed'? It is me, my mother, and her cousin (so 3 old people).

Glad to hear people are getting the brunches and dinners they want. :thumbsup2

I have started a Roll Call in the second post ... please PM me or reply on the thread to be included!

That saves me from looking through the whole old thread, makes sure that only people who haven't dropped out are in the roll call, plus you can give me exactly the info you would like to see posted in the roll call.

Thanks for doing a new roll call. We are Lauren, James, DD Lorelei, DS Jameson, DM Cheryl, DMIL Jib

We're planning on bringing Munchkin Zombie, but having regular Munchkin available is a good idea as well. I might throw an Uno deck in my luggage as well.
I like the idea of a bulletin board - we're VGT, so have no idea if our room would be "centrally located" or not, tho.

annichan - if we're not on your roll call already, please add us - Tracey & Scott

The original idea was my husband's in order to play some of the more obscure board and card games: Dominion, Cards Against Humanity, etc. There's also been a mention of Ticket to Ride. He's particularly hoping to garner interest in a one-shot role playing game session (he designs them for a living).

Some people have also expressed interest in party games as well but that's not really our area of interest so someone else should handle that one.

Your husband designs role-playing games? Cool! What kind? And could you tell me what "one-shot" means?

As for the party games, I have included a list of who is bringing which in our event calendar here.
The "geekier" games seem to have the disadvantage of being heavy and taking up lots of luggage space, so I haven't heard of anybody definitely bringing any so far ... We would definitely be up or a game, but ours are all in German so Idecided just to bring a smaller party game instead.

Sorry I haven't updated the website in a long while. It's getting hard to keep up with the Facebook page and the Dis thread! It looks like you guys have done an amazing job with the front page though!!!

As for tastings, if someone would tell me HOW to set up a private one I would gladly organize it! Just let me know!
