We were here for 10 nights in April. 5 nights were spent in Tower 5, 3rd floor, parking lot/garage view with a torn couch. 5 nights were spent in Tower 2, 5th floor, lake/fireworks view. Loved WBC! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, even if we got stuck with the awful first room that we had!

I'll start with the bad! Think the room number was Tower 5, 384. Very clean, but dark. Flat screens, nice bedding, super comfy beds. Awful couch!!!!

We draped a towel over the bad part so we wouldn't have to look at it!

Balcony views. Had an awesome view of Epcot fireworks every night. We could also see another set that I thought came from Fantasmic!, but others have said MK?

Thanks for sharing, WOW is all I can say about that couch...I really thought when ppl complained that it couldn't be that bad :) Right now I put in a request for building 2 fireworks view in an updated room so hopefully I can get a nice room like yours :)

Did you have a 1 or 2BR? We have 2 stays this trip, one for 5 nights in a 2BR and then one for 3BR for 4 nights.

Spent a ton of time at the pools! My kids loved the slides (7 year old son loved the pirate slide at 6, 9 year old daughter loved the open slide at 3. My favorite was the pool by the main building. Gorgeous, big, pool right on the lake. Awesome lazy river. Much less crowded than the lazy river pool at 5 and the pirate slide pool at 6. Also a lot more room for chairs.

Here's the Grand (hotel).

We had a two bedroom. Isn't that crazy?

Now for my favorite! Loved, loved, loved the pool at the main building. Also loved looking at this building from our balcony. So pretty!

Thanks for posting. Photos look great.I have stayed here 3 times all in December. Am going for 3 weeks in August this year so can't wait. Especially looking forward to seeing the new hotel. Did you by any chance see how much to rent a cabana? When I was there last December it was $25 during the week and $50 at weekend but assumed it was cheap because off season. (This was at pool next to the fort)
will be interesting to see whats its like in August. We usually stay SSR in August and here in December but can't stay in a 1 bed anymore at SSR and 2 bed just too expensive compared to WBC.
Oh, and we have always stayed in main building which I highly recommend. We don't like being high up so this is perfect. I also love the feeling of still being in a hotel and being able to just wander downstairs for coffee. Husband also loves the main pool, even if it is freezing in December!

I'm hoping to get a ressie at WBC....I'll know on Tuesday if it's going to happen. I want to make a request for a suite location, I fully realize that it's not guaranteed. We will spend a fair bit of time at the pool and will want to use the lazy river and slides. I'm thinking that I should request building 5 or 6, second choice would be 3. Does that sound good or is there another location that would be better? We have never stayed at WBC before....I'm very excited at the possibility. I currently have the Grand booked but if this comes through we'll have a 2br for less than the cost of the hotel.

I think I read that there is covered parking at building 5...it would be a bonus as we will be there in July.

One other thing....would it be too much to request a building and a lake view?

ETA: we are staying 2 weeks so the location is kind of important.

I did not notice how much it was. Sorry! I know I would love the main building for all the reasons you mentioned! I was super happy with #2, though. I really prefer the look towers 1 - 3 and the main bldg. I also like the pools better on that side, too!.

When we checked in, none of our requests were granted! We started out in an awful room in bldg 5 (ripped couch, parking garage view) even though I requested the main bldg/pool view. Our second 5 nights were spent in tower 2, which was amazing! Gorgeous view of the lake and the fireworks.

I much preferred the lazy river/pool at the main bldg to the one at tower 5. The pools at towers 5 and 6 were super crowded without a lot of room for chairs.

The covered parking garage is right next to tower 5. We were staring right at it!

I'm pretty sure I've read that bldg 3 still hasn't been updated. However, I'd choose that location over towers 5/6 any day.

I really haven't seen a lot of info on any of the other areas of the property. It seems like everyone stays in building 6. A crowded pool without chairs would not be fun. Is it possible to get a lake view and a fireworks view? That would be really nice.

Yes. We stayed in Bldg 2 the second 5 nights of our trip and we had a lake view and an awesome fireworks view. Loved it! The rooms were totally redone and gorgeous!
